| Its time to Enroll for Enrichment Programs |
Parents: Hamiltonıs enrichment program is open to all students. This is an 8-week session. Partial and full scholarships are available to subsidize the cost of the program fees, on the basis of family need. Please call Patty Ravetti at 883-4691 or inquire at the Front Office if you would like to find out more.
Our classes are age appropriate, please only sign your kids up for the classes in their age range.
We will be posting the schedule on line and in the weekly Hamilton E-Blast.
Please remember that our classes are very popular. Enrollment forms are date and time stamped in the office and class assignments are made on a first come, first serve basis. Please turn them into the front office as quickly as possible.
Mondays, beginning February 1st through March 29th at 3:05 4:05 p.m. - No class February 15th
Studio 4 Art Class: Open to 2nd 6th Graders: Working from nature, still-lifeıs, photographs and independent ideas, students will be introduced to specific drawing fundamentals and techniques including line drawing, value, shape, pattern, texture, shading, perspective and composition. Personal style is celebrated. Instructor: Kebby McInroy-Studio 4 Art Cost: $60 per student Location: H3
Origami Class open to 1st-6th Graders: This class teaches the ancient art of paper folding. Fun for all ages. Instructor: Nobue Demers Hamilton Parent Cost: $10 per student Location: B4
Tuesdays, beginning February 2nd through March 30th - at 3:05 4:05 p.m. No class February 16th
Strike A Chord Guitar Program Class open to 3rd -6th Graders Only The beginning program provides children, ages 8 and over, with the purpose of introducing them to music through playing the guitar. The style of music they will be studying is rock & roll and folk. The goal of the class is for the children to learn to strum basic songs on the guitar, while having fun in the process. Instruction books and good quality, small sized guitars are provided to take home for the duration of the program. Instructor Ian Stahl Strike a Chord Cost - $75 per student Location: D6
Hamilton Chorus Class open to 1st-3rd graders Come sing in Hamilton Elementary Schoolıs After School Choir with Mrs. Fellows! ³For those of you who know me well, you know that I have experience singing gospel, a capella, opera, rock, musical theater, and classical at the collegiate level. I am looking for students who love to sing and want to have a fun time doing so! We will be doing daily warm-ups, and some vocal techniques, but most of all we will be having fun while experiencing the magic of music!² There will be a performance for the families at the end of the session. 3-6th Grade Book Club: Gather with friends over a good book and snacks to read and discuss our favorite pick, Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. With teacherıs permission, Book Club members will earn Accelerated Reader credit with their participation. All students will receive a free copy of the book. Note: there is a new teacher for this class. Instructor: Ms. Restivo, Hamilton Teacher Cost: free to student Location: D4
Wednesdays, beginning February 3rd through March 31st at 2 3p.m. No class February 17th
NEW LEGO-Pre-Engineering: Class open to Kinders - 2nd Graders ONLY. Create, Play, and Learn. Build a town, city or star base with houses, buildings, pyramids, bridges, tunnels, towers and more. Build motorized cars, trains, buses and trucks; race them, crash them, and repair them. Explore the many possibilities of Lego building systems while learning useful construction techniques. Instructor Play-Well TEKnologies Cost: $75 Location: B5
NEW Spanish: Class open to 3rd 6th Graders. Spanish as a second language is intended to provide the students with the necessary tools to not only acquire the skills to better communicate in this language, but also to understand the cultural aspects playing a crucial role in individuals from Latin American countries. The course will emphasize conversational Spanish, without overlooking the essentials of grammar. Listening, Writing and Reading exercises will be provided to reinforce the studentıs learning process. Pictures, stories, role-playing, music and others will be used to achieve this. Besides private tutoring to children and adults, Martin Lozano has taught for more than two years at Drake and Redwood High Schools for the Tamalpais Union High School District. Golf: - Class open to all ages - Learn the techniques of putting and driving and put some swing into your game on Hamiltonıs after school golfing green! This class will be outdoors, weather permitting. We will have an indoor location on raining days where the kids will discuss golf course design and technique. Instructor: Sherman Leland- Total Golf Adventures Cost: $150 per student Location: Hamilton Playing Field or B1. Breezeway (on rainy days)
Thursdays, beginning February 4th through April 8th at 3:05 4:05pm/No class February 18th and April 1st.
Typing: Class open to 2nd 6th Graders. This class will teach the basics of typing using our newly purchased computer software ³Type to Learn². All students will be taught the correct typing form and fingering. Instructors: Katie Kelly, Hamilton Teacher Cost: free to student Location: Computer Room-C1

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER AND BENEFIT YOUR SCHOOL AS WELL!
Join us on a journey through time and discover the amazing history of life on planet earth! Along the way we'll come face to face with some of the oldest creatures on earth including insects, arachnids, amphibians, reptiles, and more! We have added many new animals to study and handle and many new activities to make for a fun-filled evening!
$5 of each admission will be donated to the Hamilton School PTA enrichment fund!
