Go Stingers!!!!!

Greetings Hamilton Families!

In case you have not yet heard, the Novato Stingers (youth football) have won the Pacific Division Championship!  This is big!  There are five kids from Hamilton (Daronn McCall, John Vasquez, Ryan Johnson, Daylan Birlin & Moses Johnson) and 3 other Hamilton Alumni (Hunter Wegner, Andrew Larkin & Gene Peugh-Wade).  We are scrambling to help them get the team to the National Championships in Orlando, Florida, they need to leave this Friday, December 4th.
I have listed a few opportunities to participate in the donations efforts.  For those who might be interested in making a monetary donation, you may do so in the school office.
We very much appreciate any considerations and all your support!
GO STINGERS...

PS  There are a few of these boys who have never been on a plane much less a winning, championship team.  There are moments in time, in life, that forever change us, this is one of those times.  This is an opportunity these boys may never see again and one they may not see at all if funds are not contributed on their behalf.  I have incredible faith in our community and the goals we can achieve together.

Mistletoe Sales & Wreaths - http://www.wreaths.com/Products/Novato   A percentage of all orders will go to the team.

Pasta Pomadoro - Will donate a percentage of your meal but you must bring in the flyer (you may pick them up in the school office)

Drug & Alcohol Seminar
Dear Marin County PTA Members,

On December 9, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. Terra Linda High School in collaboration with the School Law Enforcement Partnership is hosting a drug and alcohol informational seminar specifically designed for parents.  This presentation will include a 12 minute film, "Wasted: The Truth of Underage Drinking," highlighting the dangers of alcohol abuse.  After the film, Al Bahn, a retired Napa City Police Officer and school administrator, will speak on three topics: drug abuse statistics, the explosion of pharmaceutical drug abuse, and specific "tools" parents can use to work with their children to avoid and/or recover from this behavior.

This is a great opportunity for parents to learn about drug and alcohol abuse and prevention strategies.  Please distribute the attached flyer to your parent community.  This will be an extremely worthwhile evening and we hope that many of your parents will be available to attend.

Regards.
