During these times of unprecedented change and uncertainty it is tempting to listen to the 24 hour news channels... and step from faith into fear. 

 

I am not a prophet of doom and gloom. I believe the turmoil that surrounds many of us now will create opportunities beyond your wildest imaginations.  In twelve months time you will not be the same person you are now, and you will not be in the same circumstances!

 

God has a plan. His will may be diverted, but it will not be stopped.  "When the enemy shall come in, LIKE A FLOOD THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD WILL LIFT UP A STANDARD (banner) AGAINST HIM AND PUT HIM TO FLIGHT." (Isaiah 59:19 Amplified)

 

When Joshua's mentor died and he faced the huge turmoil of leading millions of people into their promised land against all "logical" news reports, God said to him, "Be strong, vigorous and very courageous.  Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9 Amplified) 

 

The spirit of Joshua and Caleb was different - forty years earlier the other spies reported news through fearful eyes and it was branded an "evil report" by God.  They operated out of a spirit of fear.  Joshua and Caleb operated out of a spirit of faith- and they received ALL that was promised to them! 

 

The ones who feared fared worse than those they feared! (Numbers 14)

 

2 Timothy 1:7 says that God has not given us a spirit of fear and Proverbs says we (the righteous) are bold as lions!

 

Despite the economic turmoil and other personal circumstances,:

Keep worshiping Him:

Keep exalting Him:

Keep enlarging Him in your life and mind until you see Him for Who He is.;

Keep things in perspective with Who God is and what He has promised you.

 

Psalms 60:4 says that God Himself has raised a banner for you to be unfurled against the bow (because of the truth)!

 

Jeremiah 50:2 exhorts God's people to announce and proclaim among the nations, lift up a banner and proclaim it, keep nothing back!  (NIV)  Jeremiah goes on to issue decrees against the territorial demons of Babylon and decrees their terror, shame and downfall.

 

Ask the Lord "What would You have me declare over my family, my city, my region, my nation?"  Then lift up a banner and declare it- hold nothing back!
