RYE YMCA NEWSLETTER October 2012 |
LIVESTRONG WEEK - Oct. 2-7
A celebration of cancer survivors and the Rye Y's LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Program. In the last year, our FREE program has helped over 100 cancer survivors reclaim their health and well- being through physical activity. Throughout the week we will be celebrating with events including a swim challenge, guided walks and an art exhibit by Alex Davitt (former LIVESTRONG at the YMCA participant).
The week will culminate with several events on Sunday, October 7 including an opportunity to participate in our "Locks of Love" hair donation, spin-a-thon and survivor dinner. Click here for details.
During LIVESTRONG Week, please help us bring LIVESTRONG at the YMCA to more cancer survivors in our community! During the week there will be opportunities to contribute direct support to LIVESTRONG at the YMCA. Please consider participating in our spin-a-thon, visit the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA DONATION STATION, or make an online contribution. Your donation will go DIRECTLY to underwriting the costs for each survivor who participates in the program.
