Teens Enjoy New Active After School Choices
Every day after school, the Rye Y has an array of choices available to teens in grades 6-12. Teens can participate in a teen fitness fusion class, work out in the Freestyle Fitness Zone, play games in the gym or hang out in the Teen Lounge. Free to Members; $2 drop in fee for non-members. Rye Y Arts Week - October 4-11
Celebrate the arts with us! Art work by Kindertime and ASA participants will be displayed and special events are planned: Oct. 5: 5:00-6:30 pm: Drawing workshop and book signing for children ages 5 - 10 with local author and illustrator Charise Mericle Harper.
Oct. 7: 5:30-8:00 pm: A clay workshop on making figures and sculptures for kids ages 5 - 12 with the Clay Arts Center.
Workshops are free to all, but please make a reservation at 967-6363, ext. 115

Rye Y Teen Leaders Club is for teens in Grades 9-12 and is run by and for teens. As the "Teen Ambassadors" for the Rye Y, leaders will participate in a variety of Y events, teen rallies and fundraising efforts. Get involved with community service through the Rye Y's Rye Youth Engaged program. Contact Lou Caratelli for information about either or both programs. |
