Signs of an improving economy are beginning to take shape.  Downtown traffic and parking have visibly increased as has the number of home renovation projects that all but disappeared from view last year.  But despite these visible signs of an improving economy, a quieter and less visible trend continues that indicates economic recovery has not yet fully arrived to our community. Health Reminder
The Rye YMCA encourages members to take these simple steps to protect your health while here at the Y:
 -   Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing
-   Wash your hands often with soap and water
-   Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
-   Try to avoid close contact with sick people
-   If you get sick with the flu, stay home from work, school or other public places

Ines Martinez Arteta, from Madrid, is serving as a Discovery camp counselor this summer as part of the YMCA International Camp Counselor program. Ines, age 19, has spent the last two summers working as a YMCA camp counselor in Pennsylvania and Michigan. She will divide her ten week stay between two Rye host families.
