Greetings!
Time- it's the one thing that the song writer says if he could, he would keep time in a bottle and save it like treasure and spend every day with someone he loves and cares about. Then, he laments that "there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do, once you find them." For those of us struggling with the same thoughts, and realizing we all have the same one hundred sixty-five hours every week to organize and plan and enjoy our lives with the people that mean the most to us. In essence, we do want to make our lives count for something, and have a sense of balance with the activities that comprise the hours of any day. If you are wanting to create some balance in your life, then part of reality would be looking at what might be out of balance at this time. The answer to these questions may help you to pinpoint timewasters and refocus on a plan of action to make your time more productive!
Ask yourself these questions:
Are you a good time manager?
Do you feel you have too much, not enough, or just the right amount of time to accomplish all the things you have to do?
About how much leisure time do you personally have in an average week?
If you could do something special just for yourself, what would you do?
What consumes the majority of your time?
Are other peoples demands or actions draining your energy?
Who are they and what is it that is affecting you this way?
Doing a little earnest soul-searching as you answered these questions can help you to effect some change and do things differently. I believe that is the start. Jim Rohn wrote," For things to change, you've got to change. Otherwise, nothing much will change."
As a Professional Organizer, I see this in the lives of my clients, I see it in family members, and from time to time in myself too. When life gets busy and we get run down, a bit of a 'time management checkup' seems to help reevaluate what's going on in our lives. We want to only look back to reflect on memories of how our time was well invested in not only personal goals but also the lives of others.
Kind Regards,
Terri

In our last issue, Get Organized Month was our focus to jump-start your organizing goals for the New Year. By clearing out clothing and storage closets, clients and the public were able to donate their gently used items and some new items to the 'Share to Care' event with NAPO-DFW, donating items to the survivors of Hurricane Ike in Galveston. We had a beautiful Saturday for the event and half filled a very large Mayflower truck from IMS Relocation Services. We would like to completely fill the truck, so if you missed this opportunity, you will once again be able to donate this month.
WE NEED DONATIONS!
You may drop your household items for kitchen, sheets, cases and pillows, baby items, and clothing off to:
IMS Relocation Office

Carrollton, TX 75006

Contact: Chris Moucka 972-484-2112
You will be given a reciept for your tax-deductible contribution.
