Update on the Library Renovation

newbks2
New bookshelves and lighting have been installed. Carpet arrives In August. Our new browsing area is now bustling with activity.

As we make these major changes, your feedback is important. Here are some recent comments:

Why did we make this change now? We applied for the Champlin grant more than a year ago knowing that as use increased but staffing did not, we would need to change the way we worked.

I miss seeing the staff sitting at the checkout. The same staff is still here, but just out from behind the desk.

Self check machines take jobs. No jobs were eliminated because of self checkout. This technology is one way to help the staff keep up as more and more people use the Library.

The Library looks more welcoming and alive when I come in, with more books to choose and more to see.
Thanks.

We want to make this transition and time of change as easy as possible for everyone. Please ask if you have questions or need an update on where things are. Our mission is still the same: to provide the best library service for Warwick residents.
