Diocesan Events
- Bishop Gulick will ordain Jo Belser, Laura Cochran, David Crosby, Elizabeth Locher, Cayce Ramsey and Leslie Steffensen to the transitional diaconate on June 2 at St. Andrew's, Burke. Bishop Johnston will ordain Megan Limburg, Robert Morris, Amy Spagna and Andrew Terry to the transitional diaconate on June 9 at Holy Comforter, Richmond. All are welcome to these celebrations!
- Education for Ministry Mentor Training will take place at Roslyn Conference Center July 29-31. Registration is now underway for both Basic/In-Service and Formation training events. Learn more at efmvirginia.com.
- This fall, make your annual giving campaign into an appeal for supporting the ministries of your church in one of the following workshops. You will tell the story of your ministry in a narrative budget and design a pledge card with a new look. Please register 10 days in advance in order to prepare, and consider sending at least two representatives from your church. No charge! ECW Spring Open Board Meeting
The Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Virginia will join under the theme of "Many Paths, One Journey. Many Gifts, One Spirit" for their Annual Spring Open Board Meeting. The meeting will take place Thursday, May 31 at Pohich Church, Lorton.
All are invited to take part in this event and to learn about the many ministries and mission opportunities supported by the Episcopal Church Women. Participants are invited to join in special workshops, fellowship and worship.
This year's meeting will include a special focus on the diocesan youth's Bishops NetsForLife initiative. This will also mark Pat Hardy's first meeting as ECW president.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., with the business meeting commencing at 9:20 a.m. Learn more.

The bishop of Virginia needs his fourth clerk and we are accepting applications now. The bishop's clerk works for a year as a traveling assistant, driving the bishop, supporting the work of his ministry and office. If you are interested, please send a resume to Henry Burt at hburt@thediocese.net.
