- After five years on diocesan staff, Tyler Fox, church missions officer and assistant to Bishop Gulick, has left his position at the Diocese to move to Germany with his wife. Diocesan Events
- You still have three opportunities remaining to hear from the six candidates for bishop suffragan during the walkabout sessions this week: Wednesday at Christ Church, Winchester (7-9:30 p.m.); Thursday at Good Shepherd, Burke (7:30-10 p.m.); and Friday at St. James's, Richmond (7-9:30 p.m.).
- The bishops of the Diocese invite clergy to attend the Reaffirmation of Ordination Vows and Blessing of Oil of Chrism. Four services will be held during Holy Week, all at 11 a.m.: on April 3 at St. Peter's in the Woods, Fairfax Station; on April 4 at Emmanuel, Woodstock; and on April 5 at Epiphany, Richmond and at St. Stephen's, Culpeper. Please register online.
- The Episcopal Church Women will sponsor their annual Lenten Quiet Day on Thursday, March 29 at the Virginia Diocesan Center at Roslyn under the theme, "Blessed Are They Who See." The Rev. Canon Susan E. Goff will lead the the event, exploring the theme through Scripture, music, meditations and silence.

- The Virginia Institute of Pastoral Care (VIPCare) is offering two forums for local and specialized clergy in Richmond. April 12 the forum will focus on Leading Toward Diversity in a Culture of Discomfort. May 24 the forum is on Caught in the Crossfire - Conflict Ministry for the Local Congregation. Small Church Conference
Province III of the Episcopal Church will host a special conference for small church ministries at Shrine Mont May 28-31.
Join your colleagues to discuss the small church in the 21st century. Participants will share issues and challenges of their congregations, including topics surrounding stewardship, music and liturgy, and Christian education.
Presenters include Susanna Metz, former executive director of the Center for Ministry in Small Churches at Sewanee; Terry Parsons, lead partner of the Stewardship Company; Dent Davison, missioner for liturgy and the arts from Chicago; Pattie Ames, director of children's ministries and accessibility/inclusion at St. Columba's, D.C.; and the Rt. Rev. Neff Powell, bishop of the Diocese of Southwest Virginia.
