  • There's still time to register for Small Church Day, which will be an opportunity to hear from Bishop Jones about spiritual gifts, and to celebrate his ministry. Churches of all sizes are welcome to attend! Saturday, October 29 at Christ Church, Spotsylvania.  
  • The diocesan Committee on Race Relations will host an Anti-Racism Training this Friday and Saturday, October 14-15 at Trinity, Highland Springs.

Other Events
  • Bells Across America for Fall Firefighters is the first nation-wide remembrance for firefighters who died in the line of duty. The National Fallen Firefighters Organization encourages churches to participate by ringing their bells on October 16.
  • The Haiti Micah Project Run for Kids will take place Sunday, October 30 at Episcopal High School, Alexandria. Includes 5K cross-country  run, 1K fun walk/run, food and games. Costumes encouraged! Proceeds benefit orphanage in Haiti.
  • The Virginia Theological Seminary Institute for Christian Formation & Leadership will host "Spiritual Vitality after 70," a day of discovery about finding abundant life as we walk together to deepen our relationship with God. November 19, off-site video conferencing available. Register online

Episcopal Church Women Annual Meeting

The Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Virginia will host their 120th Annual Meeting and 122nd United Thank Offering Ingathering on Tuesday, October 25 at St. Alban's, Annandale.

Joining attendees as featured speaker will be the Rev. Martha Macgill. Participants will gather under the theme, "Mission Accomplished: Next Step-Answering God's Call with Grace & Joy."

All are welcome at this annual event.

The Parish Youth Ministries Committee planned a successful 8th-Grade Retreat at Shrine Mont this past weekend that had 150 in attendance!
