Need to Know
- The presiding bishop provided this statement in response to the damage from yesterday's earthquake. The Diocese of Virginia is currently evaluating the situation in our area and will provide more information later today.
- Bishop Johnston has created a litany for the 10th anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2001. The litany, as well as other resources and events surrounding the 9/11 anniversary, are available online.

- OTM (Office of Transition Ministry) Portfolio Training for Clergy and Lay Professionals will be held at Goodwin House, Alexandria on Tuesday, August 31, 2011, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Anne Lee Room. If you choose to work on your portfolio, it will be helpful to have your username and password and to bring your laptop. Goodwin House has wireless access throughout. Small Church Day This year's Small Church Day on Saturday, October 29 at Christ Church, Spotsylvania will be a celebration of the ministry of Bishop Jones.
Bishop Jones will be the speaker for the morning sessions to tell attendees about his life, his call to the priesthood and his theology of spiritual gifts. Following lunch, participants will celebrate the Eucharist together.
