Need to Know
- The 2011 revision of the Constitution & Canons of the Diocese of Virginia is available online in English and Spanish.
- The Diocese of Virginia is working to collect prayers and meditations from across the church to make available in one central online location as a resource for our churches and communicants. The Virginia Prayer Collective will include timely prayers on topical subjects. Please submit your prayers - either original or credited to another source - to Emily Cherry to be included in the Prayer Collective.
- The Episcopal Church will provide an online venue to observe the Stations of the Cross on the homepage of the Episcopal Church Web site throughout Holy Week.

Diocesan Events
- Clergy new to the Diocese: please save the date for the New Clergy Orientation at the diocesan offices at Mayo Memorial Church House, May 10 from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Clergy new to the Diocese in the past 12-18 months will have the chance to meet staff, join in Eucharist and lunch and learn about diocesan resources.
- The Bishop's Spring Conference for clergy, lay professionals and spouses at Shrine Mont May 2-4 will explore spiritual gifts with the Rt. Rev. Drew Smith and the Rev. Dr. Frank Wade. Register online!
- The diocesan Committee on Race Relations has scheduled two upcoming anti-racism trainings: May 20-21 at St. Mark's, Richmond and October 14-15 at Trinity, Highland Springs. Please contact Ellyn Crawford or the Rev. David Niemeyer, co-chairs, for more info.
- Services for the renewal of ordination vows and blessing of oil of chrism will be held for clergy in the Diocese during Holy Week. Learn more and register to attend a service.

- The Virginia Leadership Program for Musicians will sponsor a spring workshop on May 21 for musicians, clergy and anyone interested in congregational music at Bon Air Presbyterian, Richmond. Sessions include "Beyond the War Stories: Clergy and Musicians Working Together" and "Anthems" with presenter Ellen Johnston. Each session is $40, both for $75, fees include lunch. Please register by May 14.

Making the Connection: Mental Health & Our Faith Community
The diocesan Committee on Mental Health will sponsor a Conference on Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder on Saturday, April 30 at Holy Comforter, Richmond from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The program will cover many aspects of PTSD, including a personal perspective and trauma to children, the signs and symptoms, the family response, psychological treatment, spiritual response and the response of the faith community Participants can join in break-out groups to discuss "How the Faith Community Can Make A Positive Difference in the Lives of Others." ICRIBINKI I Can't Remember It Because I Never Knew It This year, Hope for Humanity, a non-profit founded by members of Christ Church, Glen Allen to build and manage a secondary school in Southern Sudan, celebrates its eighth annual Walk for Sudan at Christ Church on Sunday, May 1! Funds benefit Hope & Resurrection Secondary School.
