  • For the third year, the Diocese of Virginia is sponsoring a Youth Mission Trip to Towel Ministry, located in Morganton, N.C. This Appalachian Mountain Ministry was created 30 years ago to help people who are elderly or disabled have some basic home repair and renovation work done to their homes. The mission is also focused on building a relationship between the youth and the homeowners. Trip dates are July 9-16, and the cost to participate in the mission is $450. Adult leaders are also needed. The trip coordinator is the Rev. Mary Davila of St. James', Leesburg, and Mission Leader is Chris Turnball of Emmanuel on the Hill, Alexandria. Special Guests at Senior High Weekend

Senior High Retreat Weekend at Shrine Mont will take place April 1-3 with some very special guests. Our keynote speakers are Kumeran Soobrayan and Mpho Mohale, two youth workers from the Diocese of Christ the King in South Africa.  They will lead sessions surrounding our year's theme, Matthew 6:25-34.  They are powerful and dynamic leaders who are VERY excited to get to know folks from our Diocese.  It's going to be a fun-filled, spiritually rich and inspiring weekend filled with conversation, games, worship, new friends and much more.  Space is limited, so sign up soon!  The cost is $150 per person (which includes programming, food, and all lodging), but scholarships are readily available. Contact Paris Ball or Mike Wade with questions.
