Bishop Johnston and St. George's, Fredericksburg will host a series of discussions and lectures with theologian Marcus Borg March 13-14: What's Christianity All About?, An Emerging Form of Christianity Today, What is the Gospel? (a special session for clergy) and Telling the Story of Jesus Today.

Prayer for Sudan
On January 9, the people of Southern Sudan will vote in a referendum to determine whether they should secede from the north. This referendum is part of a Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005 that brought an end to civil war in Sudan.
Christ Church, Glen Allen will host a prayer service for the referendum on January 6 at 7:30 p.m.
The American Friends of the Episcopal Church of Sudan will host an interfaith prayer service on January 8 at 7 p.m. at Christ Church, Alexandria. The service will be lead by Christian, Jewish and Muslim religious leaders. Prayers and meditations will be offered on behalf of a peaceful referendum and an end to the civil upheaval that has plagued Sudan for several decades. Reception to follow.
