We are pleased to announce that there will be a special ordination ceremony for Rev. Karen Wylie on Sunday, June 24, 5:00 pm, at Meditation Mount, 10340 Reeves Road, Ojai, California 93023. The ordaining minister is Rev. Michael Beckwith. The evening includes wonderful music and a light buffet supper. Parking and seating are limited, so if you would like to come in support of Rev. Karen, please carpool if possible.
In preparation for the Ordination later in the day, on Sunday morning, June 24, at 10:30 am, at the Women's Club, Rev. Karen will be offering the congregation of the Symphony of Life a sacred baptism of the Spirit. The rite of spiritual baptism is a recognition of the Loving Presence and Infinite Power of the Spirit in each person. The seed of perfection is implanted in everyone and awaits only the baptism of Spirit, the outpouring of trust, for the expression of good to manifest.
In presenting yourself for this baptism of the Spirit, you will acknowledge that you are connected to and immersed in the Spirit, that in this Spirit you live and move and have your being, and that you will conduct your life in harmony with the truth of this awareness. This ceremony is optional for anyone who wishes to be included. Rev. Karen will use a rose to symbolically open the third eye.
Parents who are interested in a christening or dedication for their children will also have the chance to participate in a short ceremony which will be facilitated by Rev. Marilyn Miller.
