Love

There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer.

No disease that enough love will not heal;

No door that enough love will not open;

No gulf that enough love will not bridge;

No wall that enough love will not throw down;

No sin that enough love will not redeem.

It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble,

How hopeless the outlook,

How muddled the tangle,

How great the mistake;

A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.

If only you could love enough you would be

the happiest and most powerful being in the world.

                                                               -Emmet Fox

This wonderful writing says it all. We do our spiritual practice to become the love we are seeking.

Our affirmation for the day: Today I boldly open my heart and stretch beyond self-importance. I am vulnerable to the power of loving-kindness, care, and compassion towards all beings.

In peace and love,

Rev. Karen Wylie

Meeting Location for This Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011

This Sunday we will be having our service at Help of Ojai's Little House, 111 W. Santa Ana Street, Ojai 93023. Little House is located up the street just behind Starr Market. If the weather permits, we will have an outdoor service on the back lawn; otherwise, we will be inside. The times of the service will be the same, 10:00 AM for meditation and 10:30 for the service. For this Sunday only, there will be no separate child care available. Children are welcome to attend the regular service as appropriate. It will be fun to have a different venue for the day!

Special Presentation

We were happy to have the President of the Board of The Nan Tolbert Nurturing Center in our congregation this past Sunday. We presented her with a Certificate of Appreciation and our September tithe check in the amount of $464.69. We thank this organization for continuing the legacy of Nan Tolbert and for its great contribution towards the well being of young children and families here in Ojai.
