"The Beautiful One whom I adore
has pitched His royal tent inside of you,
so I will always lean my heart
as close to your soul as I can."
Hafiz
Happy Mother's Day! Ernest Holmes has said that it is wonderful that God has so provided for us that when we first enter this world we come through the loving protection of a mother's care, and that there is waiting for every newborn babe the comfort, warmth, and tenderness of a woman whose heart has been filled with an instinctive affection and a deep-seated desire to nurture and give of herself to the miracle of life.
This is the distinction between mother love and other forms of love. The mother imparts her own being to her offspring. And we cannot doubt that in a larger sense it is God who imparts His own being to all of us, making each one an incarnation of Divine Will, Divine Life, and Divine Love.
The home that is blessed with this assurance is indeed a happy one. The mother and father who realize the sacred trust imposed on them when they are given children to rear, and who have learned to trace the ancestry of their own children back to the Divine Parent, always have something to give their offspring, which is lacking when this divine recognition is not there.
Unfortunately, all of us did not have the perfect mother Ernest Holmes describes, or the perfect parents, but what we did have and continue to have is the perfect Mother/Father God, who loves us so unconditionally.....actually more unconditionally than our human parents are ever able to do. This Mother/Father God is with us always, guiding and directing us. It knows how to take care of all our needs if we would let it. In a certain sense, we are all mothers giving birth to new thought, new ideas and new events. And why should we doubt that the same creative power which prepares the mother to give birth to her baby will not also prepare us, physically and mentally, to give birth to new life and new experience?
Resting in this assurance, let us, then prepare our minds to give birth to a future bright with hope, constant with fulfillment and filled to overflowing with love and joy!
Our affirmations for the day: I live and move and have my being in the eternal presence of Mother/Father God. I know this Divine Parent nurtures my every prayer into fulfillment. I neither fear nor doubt that the creative principle of life shall respond to everything I sincerely believe in my heart.
In peace and love, Rev. Karen Wylie

The Symphony of Life Board Members, spouses and friends met at Monte Grappa this past Sunday night to honor Rev. Will Castagna, who is stepping down as our Board President. He has successfully completed a three year term on the Board of the Symphony of Life. We had a great time expressing our appreciation to him. We coined a little phrase that seems apropos for how we feel about Will for his constant and loving support of this community, "Where there is a way, there is a Will." Enjoy the pictures below.
