"The resurrection is the death of the belief that we are separated from God.  For death is to the illusion alone and not to Reality.  God did not die.  What happened was that man awoke to Life."

Ernest Holmes, The Science of Mind

The love within you is greater than any loss, any diagnosis, and greater than death itself. How many times have I died only to be born again out of the ashes of my unbelief. How many times has my precious God loved me through the tempests of my own doubt, fear and feelings of unworthiness.

Yes, here I am cleansed and standing once again at the beginning of my life--more powerful, more loving, more giving, more aware of who I am and more aligned with the truth of my being. Here I am resurrected once again.

This is the story of our human incarnation on the planet. We continue to die daily and to be reborn again. Surprisingly, yes, there is more to forgive, more to embrace about our own humanity and the humanity of our brothers and sisters who have chosen to walk with us, and always, always more love to express as it expands from the center of our being.

Our human incarnation is a holy walk when we choose to see it as such. It is a deliverance from the fears and doubts that may plague us in the beginning but which cannot withstand the onslaught of the all-encompassing love of God.

How grateful I am for my divine walk. How grateful I am for the love-beauty which has taken over my life. How grateful I am that throughout all of it, I have been so loved, so guided and so cared for. This is the promise for those who are courageous enough to stay the course. The expanded love you embrace with each resurrection never dies, and you are in love for the rest of your life. That is your Divine inheritance!

Our affirmations for the day: Gratitude, focus and high resolve birth transformation in my life! Every day I become a better version of my true self! I am constantly evolving into all that God created me to be!

In peace and love,
Rev. Karen Wylie

Symphony of Life Annual Congregational Meeting

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held this Sunday, April 3, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM right after our church service. We will be discussing our vision for the future, financial and budget matters and other issues of concern to our spiritual community. We need a quorum to conduct business at the Annual Meeting. If you are a member, new or old, please plan to attend. Lunch will be a potluck, so please bring a dish to share.

Jami Lula in the House!

Once again, we have been blessed with a miracle! Jami Lula is a singer, song writer and recording artist who appears all over the country.  He has offered to bring some Lula vibes to our congregation here at the Symphony of Life on Sunday, April 10th.  This musical experience will move your body, touch your heart, uplift your Spirit and free your mind.  Please join us on Sunday, April 10th, for a powerful musical treat!

Sacred Service Saturday

Don't forget our Sacred Service Saturday tomorrow, April 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00. We will be in service at the Equine Sanctuary, 239 Boardman Road, Ojai 93023. Bring a sack lunch and drink for a picnic on the property afterwards. Whatever your talent, there is a place for you. No horse experience necessary. We enjoy these Saturdays where we, as a congregation, give service to our community. The camaraderie we experience working together for the good of the greater community is a gift that we only understand and appreciate in the doing of it.

Spiritual Cinema Night for the Symphony of Life

One of our new congregants has suggested that we should have a once-a-month Friday night Spiritual Cinema evening for our Symphony of Life community. That sounds like a great idea to me! Some of you out there in readership land probably have some ideas about where we might have such an evening or how we might set this up and perhaps you even have a library of some good films from which to choose. We would love to hear your great ideas!

New Publicity Team Forming

Say there, if "getting the word out" is one of your many talents, we would love you to join our Publicity Team which is forming now to spread the word about the Symphony of Life Spiritual Center. Creative Adventures Winter Program

Rev. Marilyn Miller and Jake Quinn were our wonderful facilitators in the children's program this past Sunday. We are very grateful to them.

Learning to meditate was the topic for our Youth Adventures Program. Sitting in a circle, the children offered things that could cause them anxiety: taking a test, failing a test, or having other kids say mean things topped their list of difficulties. They practiced breathing, closing their eyes and finding the peace within. They also sent peace and energy to the people of Japan after drawing pictures of difficult emotions and their opposite. We had seven visitors which was GREAT!!! Below are some pictures of the children's program.

Children

We love our youth program which supports parents in raising joyful, happy children who are self-confident, spiritually aware, global citizens. Each Sunday, our children 3-11 years old enjoy prayer, story telling, visual arts projects and/or music and movement. Our program is enriching and appropriate for young people regardless of their religious backgrounds. As part of our Sunday program, children get to explore the roots, purpose and meaning of special holidays throughout the year.

We welcome assistant teachers who enjoy children and are willing to give of their time once monthly or quarterly. Please call Rev. Marilyn Miller if you are interested (805) 640-0498.
