LWCC Celebrates Our
143rd Church Anniversary
Light of the World Christian Church, established in 1866, celebrated the 143rd anniversary of the church this past week. "The Light," as it is affectionately known has a truly rich heritage in the Indianapolis community. Throughout the history of the church, LWCC has acted as a standard-bearer in our community, speaking out against moral wrongs and striving to carry the Good News of Jesus Christ to all nations.
The 143rd Church Anniversary celebration began with Worship Service on Sunday, November 8 with special guest speaker Bishop Eric Garnes of Tabernacle of Praise Cathedral, Brooklyn, NY. The celebration continued with "Total Praise", a concert hosted by the LWCC Music & Worship Arts Ministries. The concert featured the Voices of the Light Choir, Temples of the Light Dance Ministry, and several special guests. LWCC truly showed up and showed out during this phenomenal celebration. To God be the glory!!!

City-Wide Children's Blessing Service
 Mark Your Calendars for the 1st Annual City-Wide Children's Blessing service. LWCC partners with The Childrens Bureau, The Legacy House, Drive-By Prayer Vigil, Stop the Violence-Indy, and other religious, civic, and not for profit organizations which offer services to children and parents to anoint and bless the children in our community. The blessing service is for children between the ages of 6-12. We'll see you on Sunday November, 22n at 5pm! |
