On Sunday, July 6 at our 10:00am worship service, we will recognize the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Reserves, active, honorably discharged, and retired. Help us to be a blessing to these brave men and women by inviting all the U.S. Armed Forces personnel you know to come and participate in this special recognition. Service members are also encouraged to wear their uniforms that day. The entire community is invited! |
Congratulations to the LWCC Sickle Cell 5k Run/Walk Participants!!!
Congratulations to the winners of last week's Sickle Cell 5K Walk/Run: Overall walkers: 1st place - Re'Nita O'Bannon; 2nd place - Marcella Clayton and 1st place male walker - Gary Connett. Among the 154 participants/contributors in memory of Courtney Bradley (Daughter of Elaine Johnson), LWCC had 37 registered participants. Proceeds from the race go to The Martin Center, Inc. which assists families affected by Sickle Cell Anemia. Thank you, Light of the World for your support!
