    Very happy to report that we are now in 2nd printing of the books! The updated recipe book has a great new cover, thanks to talented graphic designer, Maja Fisher, who is also working on our new wordpress website/blog, which we hope to have ready soon. The updated recipe book also has an added ingredient information chapter. You can order the set or individual books right at our website.

    What would it take for you to feel good about yourself?

    Several years ago I posed that question to myself, being fully convinced that feeling better about ME would arise from my doing good things for myself i.e. self-improvement. So I decided to work each month on bringing consciousness to a certain behavior or arena of life. Some were small goals, like doing a breathing technique daily to re-charge, keeping a gratitude journal, or drinking more liquids. These seemingly small goals have an exponential effect over time; small changes lead to greater strides once we build a spiral of belief in our capacity for change.

    So I developed a winning formula - a routine and series of techniques, tools, exercises and subconscious dynamics for each month of the year based on a winning formula that truly brings positive changes.

    There's a saying that in 21 days you can either make a habit or break a habit. There does seem to be some extraordinary power in the number 21, but it's not what you do or don't do for that time period that locks in the new behavior. It's more about how you focus your consciousness on the behavior that makes it become easier or second nature, combined with some action.

    The Formula is:
    Communication to subconscious mind + real time focus + some action (over 21 days) = creation of a life-affirming habit.

    Carob Surprise!

    Chocolate is superb but not everyone responds well to its stimulating properties. Carob, while not identical to chocolate in taste is a pleasant alternative. I was surprised at how much my husband, Jeff, loves these. Very simple to make you can use either roasted carob from a health food store for raw fusion or order raw carob online.



    Ingredients:
    1 1/2 cup ground almonds
    1 1/2 cup shredded coconut
    3-4 TB carob powder
    1/3 cup water
    6-7 pitted dates (or cup of raisins)
    1 tsp. alcohol-free vanilla extract
    3 TB raw agave or maple syrup
    1/3 cup raw almond butter

    Directions: Grind almonds in the food processor with "S" blade - add coconut, dates and vanilla and blend until sticky. Add sweetener, water and carob and pulse for a few moments more. Take a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and place in palm of one hand and create an indentation. Put a teaspoon of almond butter in the center and work the sides up to cover the almond butter - then add more of the batter on top and fold over the almond butter. Roll in your hands to make them spherical. Place on a dish or waxed paper, cover and refrigerate.
    This recipe makes about 10 generously-sized spheres or 15 smaller ones.
