Letter from the Editor
Fairy Greetings!
It's just a few days until the official start
of spring, but here in Tampa we are seeing
the beginning signs with budding new leaves,
butterflies and dragonflies darting and
lovely weather. Last week, Jeff and I were
treated to a rare view of a very green
Southern California with gorgeous wildflowers
growing on the hills. Hopefully our fairy
friends in the north won't be waiting too
long for signs of spring! I often think of
springtime being the most fairy-friendly time
of year with all the blossoming, growth and
grand potential of new beginnings.
And speaking of fairy-friendly, March is
Fairy Friendship Month in which playful
pixies renew their commitment to their
cherished companions, so we have a special
Fairy Therapy to honor this time.
Some of the outstanding characteristics of a
fairy friendship are their ability to
actively listen to one another and to
validate each fairy's special gifts and
purpose.
Next month is our long-anticipated launch of
the Fairy Goddess Parties with our first
party in Tampa on April 26th. For our
greater Phoenix readers, you can get your
goddess on in some enchanting playshops
scheduled beforehand in your area: April 18
in Phoenix a April 19 in Scottsdale. If
you would like more information about these,
send me an email and I will put you in touch
with Kathleen Malone, our West Coast special
events fairy. We will have more information
about the Fairy Goddess Experience
in
the April 4th (Annual Fairy Day!)
newsletter.

HALO MAGIC! |
|
Have you ever wondered why fairies are often
depicted with a floral wreath, circlet or
halo around their heads? The circle is an
object of nature, representing the unbroken
cycle of life, eternity and unity. Fairies,
as guardians of nature, are very in tune with
the changes of season that influence growing
patterns. The symbolism of the fairy wreath
or halo is also connected to the astronomical
clock and the circular movement of the earth
around the sun.
Imagine that you are placing a fairy wreath
or halo on your head. Take a moment now to
adjust it and consider how the fairy halo
is connecting with some powerful points
around your head: Starting with the back
of your head, there are two extremely
important hormone-secreting glands at just
above the base of your skull, the pineal and
pituitary glands. Your pituitary gland
monitors the circadian (waking/sleeping)
rhythms of your day and maintains your body's
processes for health and vitality.
At either side the halo comes just to the tip
of your ears, as a subtle reminder of the
importance of active listening for acquiring
fairy-like communication skills.
The pineal gland is thought to be connected
to the sixth chakra, often referred to as the
"third eye" in the center of your forehead.
When activated, this yogic center (Ajna)
helps you to transcend physical vision into
the realm of the imagination.
And as for the ribbons trailing down your
back -- perhaps those are to tickle you from
time to time, reminding you to not take
yourself too seriously!

FAIRY APPRENTICE |
|
Our most outstanding participants from
each team and school will be invited to join the
Fairy Apprentice program. where
like-minded exceptional young women join
together in activities and adventures that
stimulate their minds, influence culture, and
improve our communities.
Maddy Jousou, who had the first ever Fairy Tea
Party in spring 2007, had a chance to
participate as Fairy Apprentice at our
fundraising launch last weekend. Here are
her comments:
It felt very wonderful to be a fairy!
Putting on my wings, I felt so free-spirited.
It was a great day to be able to inspire so
many minds -- young and old alike -- to find
their inner fairy. It was like turning over
a new leaf and becoming a whole different
person!

CUP OF TEA |
|
One day my mother was out and my dad was in
charge of me. I was maybe 2 1/2 years old and
had just recovered from an accident. Someone
had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well
gift and it was one of my favorite toys.
Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the
evening news when I brought him a little cup
of 'tea', which was just water. After several
cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy
tea, my Mom came home. My Dad made her wait
in the living room to watch me bring him a
cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest
thing!'
My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come
down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and
she watches him drink it up. Then she says,
(as only a mother would know...
'Did it ever occur to you that the only
place she can reach to get water is the
toilet?'
EDITOR'S NOTE: This cute story came
to me in a forwarded email - I have googled
it so that we can attribute to its witty

FAIR-APY FRIENDSHIP THERAPY |
|
Fairy Gabriella, the Fairy of
Friendship Protection and creator of
Fairy's Breath Anti-Monster Mist,
honors friendship above all things. For
"Fairy Friendship Month" invite 3 or 4 of
your best friends for
a lunch to celebrate springtime. Each friend
can contribute a dish, or better yet, spend
some time in the kitchen preparing
together.
After lunch, have everyone sit in a circle
and start by giving each person present a
compliment and let them know why they are so
important to you. This is a great
opportunity to hone your fairy-like
communication skills! .
Honor your fairy friendships this spring and they
will blossom throughout the year!
