HeaderOhr Somayach Presents Legacy Learn Seminars                    OS Logo

Ohr Somayach will be offering several Legacy Learn Seminars in the next few months. The 7-10 day programs are designed for a Level 2 talmid who is interested in a primarily learning based experience. Hosted at our Monsey campus, the program offers a thorough, text-based, skills building introduction to the world of Torah learning The shiurim will be delivered by the Yeshiva's rabbanim and enrollment will be limited in order to meet each talmid's particular hashkafic/learning needs. A few trips and extra-curricular activities are built in to provide a balanced experience. The dates of the next few programs are Nov. 8-17, Dec. 19-28 and Jan. 3-10.

For more information please see the Legacy Learn link at www.os.edu

For further information, please call Yered Viders at 845-558-8971.

HeaderNew! The Non-Orthodox Jew's Guide to Orthodox Jews                   orthodox guide

The Non-Orthodox Jew's Guide to Orthodox Jews offers a view of Orthodox Jews' beliefs and actions and explains the issues that non-Orthodox Jews often find puzzling or exasperating.
Readers will encounter refreshing discussions of topics such as happiness, good and evil, personal integrity, suffering and much more. They will also discover that Orthodox Jews are modern, 21st Century men and women who embrace the benefits of modern society while affirming and perpetuating an all-important chain that stretches back more than three millenia.

The book can be purchased directly from the author, David Baum at jewsguide.com Enter promo code "kiruv" at checkout and enjoy the reduced price of $18.00 per book.

HeaderNew Outreach Tool for Israelis!                   hebrew cover small

The Art of Amazement (the handbook to hashkafa, spirituality and prayer) is now available in Hebrew. 1,000 copies were sent out before Yom Kippur to kiruv centers around Israel and the Far East. We want to make it available at cost to anyone working with Israelis anywhere. Even Israelis in the US who are fluent in English tend not to enjoy reading books in English. There are Jews who are shomrei shabbos today because of this book. It behooves anyone doing serious outreach to have various books on hand to or sell their participants and we hope that this will be on their bookshelf. For bulk copies, or for Rabbi Alexander Seinfeld's handout from the AJOP 2010 Convention, "How to Use a Book as an Outreach Tool", please email seinfeld@jsli.org.
