Meet the superheroes who have been helped by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals of CoxHealth. 

Shayla
Shayla has Johanson-Blizzard syndrome, a very rare disease. Recently she has been experiencing respiratory distress, which has kept her out of school and requires time at Cox South.

Amari
When Amari was born, her esophagus was not connected to her stomach. She had surgery but still has to eat through a feeding tube. Doctors hope that as she grows up, she will be able to eat food through her mouth.

A healthy community matters
In addition to helping children with medical needs, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals funds education programs on important health issues that help build a healthier community.

CARDIAC Kids is an early risk detection program for cardiovascular disease in southwest Missouri. CoxHealth visits schools to teach kids about eating healthy and staying active.

The C.A.R.E. Mobile is a pediatric clinic on wheels. Its mission is to provide access to health care for children in the Ozarks who have no insurance, do not have a primary care physician or whose parents cannot afford to pay for necessary services.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Superheroes
It's nearly time for the annual Children's Miracle Network Hospitals telethon, featuring local stories of kids who have overcome medical odds. This year's broadcast will air on KY3 from 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3.

Cancer Survivors Day with the Springfield Cardinals
Join us on June 3 for our third annual Cancer Survivors Celebration with the Springfield Cardinals, honoring cancer survivors and their families. Tickets are $10 and include a T-shirt and refreshments. Call 417/269-5257 or stop by Hulston Cancer Center.
