GO: Join Some of our Partner Ministries on Upcoming Skate Mission Trips
ECUADOR - Join Touch the World Ministries and our friends at Solid Foundation in New Jersey for a Skate Mission to Ecuador July 13-18, 2010.
Your Mission: Make
the Quito, Ecuador skatepark skate-able again! Encourage and build up
this skate scene both physically and spiritually. Once the construction
projects are finished, your team will host a skate contest for the
locals. Share what God has done in your life with each new friend you
make.
Start saving up your used [but in good shape] decks, trucks,
wheels, shoes, etc. Bless the locals with some "new" gear! In Quito,
many kids share boards and shoes - if they even wear shoes at all! Your
simple gift can make a great impact on the lives of young skaters in
Ecuador. Interested in joining the team? Cost is $1050 plus airfare and you must be at least 16 years old. More Info: Click Here
GUATEMALA - The 2009 CS Skate Mission team helped build skate ramps and kick
off the ministry. This set into motion a Skate
Outreach which is where IHS are skating with the local kids a few times
a week and holding a weekly skater Bible study. Six of our regular
skaters just made decisions for Christ in December!
The 2010
team will build upon this solid foundation by helping us use
skateboarding as a platform to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to
strengthen our witness to the local skate culture. What will you be doing? Serving at a reginal skate contests, skating at school demos, and more! If you have a
passion to come and serve God through this event. Find more at: http://www.inhisstepsinternational.org/extreme/skate.html
Switzerland - The Sk8DTS has all elements of a 'normal' DTS (Discipleship
Training School). Our mandate of the school is to live a radical
christian lifestyle, to call forth others for a radical relationship
with God. The same time we want to serve the people in need.God but Europe on my heart. The setup is a little bit like a mobile
DTS. We will have about 8 weeks of Lectures in Davos with a break of
about two outreach weeks in Switzerland. During the main outreach part
we travel with a big van throughout europe. The rest of lectures are
done traveling at other locations, spread out during the outreach,
before we debrief back in Davos. Read more here.

ESPN: Skateboarding Interview Chad Tim Tim |
Chad Tim Tim is one of those pros roundly respected by his
peers for being a genuine nice guy and flat out amazing on a skateboard.
Apart from those accolades, he's somewhat elusive, though. Raising a
family and living a humble life in Long Beach, Calif., Tim Tim doesn't
seek out the spotlight; he usually let's his skating do the talking.
But, with grips of footage logged and plenty more to come, we figured it
the perfect moment for a Chad Tim Tim Face Time. Feature

MINISTRY: March Challenge
The Great Commission at Your Fingertips | Did you know that millions of people are looking for God on the internet everyday? The number of people online is growing at an exponential rate. BBC posted an map that shows the incredible growth online today. So, what does that mean to us? We live in a time were social media has become the new meeting place. People are more connected then every online but are more disconnected than ever with "real" relationships. And, they are looking to fill that emptiness. When Jesus commanded us to Matthew 28 to go into the whole world and share they Gospel, He already knew that he would provide a way for us to do this. Today, missionaries are being kicked out of countries all around the world but skateboarding is growing and the internet is growing even faster. In countries people risk their lives in to share the Gospel, people are online right now searching for God. In fact, in the time it took to write this, hundreds of decissions were made in places like Egypt, Nigeria, Indonesia & Pakistan. You can watch it live right here. One of the major blessings of Christian Skaters being an online-based ministry is the fact that I personally have been able to share Christ online with people from areas we never would of been able to visit all while in my PJs at my living room table. We have prayed with people from India, Afganistan, and countries all over the globe over IM on facebook. God calls us all to GO but with GMO you only need to go to your laptop or desktop to reach the globe. This month we are asking you to not just be hearers of the Word but doers. For the next 3 months we will be asking our readers to GO and we're making it simple. Go to http://www.globalmediaoutreach.com/volunteer.html and sign up. You will then be contacted and trained on how to respond to the many people making decisions for a relationship with Christ around the world. It's easy and it's making an impact in a way we have never seen before. So we challenge you...Sign Up Today!

Public Skatepark Development GuideHundreds of new skateparks are being built every year. It is a boom
era for public skateboarding facilities. However, no public skatepark
has ever been built without a group of dedicated advocates promoting
the project. This new book encourages and guides people through the
skatepark process.
Skatepark advocacy is usually a lonely
effort. Groups have been isolated in their activity and were required
to research the most effective ways to build support for their project.
The non-profit organization, Skaters for Public Skateparks
(SPS), was founded in 2004 to address the need for accessible skatepark
advocacy information and now reaches thousands of advocates across the
world. Until the creation of SPS, precious few resources existed to
support the cause. Now a single, comprehensive book guides the advocate
from the early stages of envisioning, through planning and development,
all the way to managing the open facility.
The Public Skatepark Development Guide
is the world's first comprehensive instructional manual on skatepark
advancement and is a publishing collaboration between the International
Association of Skateboard Companies, Tony Hawk Foundation, and SPS. The
Guide presents the collected wisdom of dozens of the nation's most
effective skatepark proponents and expertly discusses every stage of
skatepark creation.
