The year is coming to a close. We pray that each of you have a truly wonderful Christmas and New Year. We are so thankful for all the Lord does and continues to do around the globe through so many. How great is it that we as Christian Skaters are used by Him as a tool to reach many?
"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and he chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose what the world thinks is unimportant and what the world looks down on and thinks is nothing in order to destroy what the world thinks is important." 1 Corinthians 1:27-28What have we been up to? Well, here is a little recap of 2008...
This year we were blessed to witness the Lord encouraging and equipping so many through the 2nd annual US & UK skate conferences. We are always blown away by the amazing fruit that comes out of us all meeting as a body to pray for one another. We are blessed to have one awesome body of skate ministries with a like heart of Christ. Together we are truly able to reach all corners of the globe. Praise God!
This year, Son Skate (our partner ministry in South Africa) also hosted their first skate conference. Mark Jannetta, from partner ministries Splinter Skateparks and American Ramp Company, was able to visit and pray for and encourage the Son Skate crew.
The Lord is continuing to bless and grow the family of skate ministries in Australia and is using the Australian Christian Skaters crew for amazing and incredible things. Dave Reasbeck, skate missionary, was able to visit the Oz team to encourage and pray for them. Please pray that the Lord opens doors for the Oz crew to do the same in 2009. Pray for the Lord to continue to keep His hand on them and bless them mightily.
The UK Christian Skaters are working on their awesome new website. Toni and Uli from the US were blessed to be able to pray with and encourage this network of ministries that the Lord is using to bring a revival in the UK. It is incredible to see how the Lord is using these humble servants for incredible things for the Kingdom.

Joe (co-founder/pictured left) and Madie had their first baby. Uli (pictured center) & Toni's (co-founders) little groms continue to grow. And, the Lord has blessed us with our first intern, Mark Vote (pictured right). We are so thankful. Though the economic downturn caused some of our supporters to cease support for this season, the Lord has been faithful to provide. We were blessed to move into a beautiful office and now have a place to call home. The guys continue to serve at Ramp 48 faithfully.
We ask that each of you continue to pray for Christian Skaters, skate ministries, and the pro skaters who are out their proclaiming the Word. Thank you for your commitment and support. We know the Lord has even better things planned for the year ahead.
Merry Christmas,
Christian SkatersMatthew 5:16
