| UPDATE: BFC Egypt
|
On November 30th 2008 Professional Skateboarder Shawn Mandoli, with BFC for Cairo Egypt. Wes Luke posted an update during the trip. Shawn praised the Lord for His provision. The team put bearings in 800 wheels, gripped 100 boards, and packed them all up on the plane. "Each day of the festival we woke up about 8am, had a team
meeting, then prepared for two skateboard demonstrations that we would
do each day. At each one of our demos we have had about 1000+ people.....Persecution is common in Egypt. Unlike America Egyptians have on their
photo id, their religion. They are either Christian or Muslim depending
on their family background. Persecution includes being killed,
beheaded, tortured and beaten and kidnappings.... Yesterday the buses
got stopped by the police and all the people who had "Muslim religion"
on their id had their names taken which may lead to further
persecution." We are so thankful for this willing workers. Continue to pray for Cairo and Boarders for Christ as they reach out to these people. May the Lord continue to grow their relationship.
