How can we each make an impact? As I step back and look at this generation, we are the generation that puts things into action. We see what we don't like and get up and DO SOMETHING about it. This new ENews feature will give you ideas on how to get involved.
As this first feature, we ask you each to consider joining us in our mission. You can make a difference from your living room. HOW?
- Join our cause on MySpace or Facebook
- Nominate us for the MySpace Impact Awards: Winners receive a grant from MySpace
- Be a FOOT SOLDIER: Spread the word-Tell your friends, your pastor, your church about Christian Skaters and get a CS Home Study started.
- Join us on a SKATE MISSION
- Intern at our US OFFICE this summer: Interns come to Florida to help at our office at one week segments
- Pray for our ministry every Monday
- Give others ways to start skate ministries: Our giving allows others to build ramps to reach skaters. You can impact skaters around the globe!
- When you shop, purchase from our affiliates (Skype, CafePress, Vista Print), as they contribute a portion of sales to the ministry.
- On Ebay, consider choosing Christian Skaters to receive a percentage of your sales.
SCHOLARSHIPS NEEDED
 We are asking for your partnership on behalf of an awesome couple with such a heart for skaters. We ask that you prayerfully consider donating towards a scholarship that would provide for them to attend this year's Skate Conference.  Jay Haizlep was the first pro skater for
Vision Skateboards. Jay is a legend who is now an evangelist
and former youth pastor. Jay speaks in public schools,
churches, and leads one of the fastest growing
youth churches in America, The Sanctuary HB. The Sanctuary will be this year's Skate Conference venue. Check out their website at www.SactuaryHB.com
 Brian Sumner is a pro skater, but even more, he is a man on fire for the Lord. Originally from England, Brian now lives in Huntington Beach and skates for Birdhouse, Analog, Nice Skate Shoes, Independent, Ninja, Furnace and Fender. He serves as a deacon at The Sanctuary HB.  Josh Harmony skates for companies like Fallen & Toy Machine. I also hear he plays a mean banjo. This year Josh will help lead us in worship!

From planting a skate church in Scotland to skating and flatground tricks over invisible hydrants in OZ, Dave is the pictionary definition of a Skate Church Planter." We were blessed to keep Dave in one place for 3 days so we can all experience a bit of his adventures in Skate Missions. Dave will also help lead us in worship.

IMPACT THE SKATE INDUSTRY
 Christian Skaters hope to make an impact on the entire Skateboarding Industry. To do this, we have been blessed with a venue inside two of the largest industry tade shows in the country and we are asking you to share in the harvest. Our outreaches with affect company owners that influence the skate culture. We will be outreaching to the industry 9/5 & 9/6 with Josh Harmony playing music & Brian Sumner sharing his testimony. We will also be a bright light on the convention floor as we hand out items from our booth. We will then travel to Florida to do the same the following wekend at The Surf Expo.
If you feel called to be a part of this outreach, we ask for your support with prayers and/or contributions. We must raise a total of funds to cover the cost of food that will be given out to industry free.
