How can we each make an impact? As I step back and look at this generation, we are the generation that puts things into action. We see what we don't like and get up and DO SOMETHING about it. This new ENews feature will give you ideas on how to get involved.
As this first feature, we ask you each to consider joining us in our mission. You can make a difference from your living room. HOW?

- Join us on a SKATE MISSION
- Intern at our US OFFICE this summer: Interns come to Florida to help at our office at one week segements
- Pray for our ministry every Monday
- Give others ways to start skate ministries: Our giving allows others to build ramos to reach skaters. You can impact skaters around the globe!

BIBLE BASICS: Body
|
 Recent events provide a solid testimony to the power of water. A tsunami in the Indian Ocean claimed the lives of over 225,000 people in 2004. Hurricane Katrina transformed one of America's most historic cities into swampland. And, at our hometown of Florida, Hurricane Wilma lifted up cars on the roots of trees, allowing them to land on the roofs of houses only blocks from our home. In the face of a Hurricane's raging winds, even our levees, dams, and intricate canal system offer no more protection than the feeble cries of King Canute against the tide. Only one power can transcend the power of nature. Some of the most memorable stories in the Old Testament tell of nature's laws suspended.
To their favor, after the plagues devastated Egypt, Pharaoh demanded that the Israelites leave. But as his anger quickly dissipated and he realized that he was losing his entire slave population, Pharaoh sent his army to retrieve the Israelites. With the entire Egyptian army quickly approaching from behind, and the Red Sea spread out before them, the Realities were trapped! But, at God's command, Moses held his staff over the sea and it parted allowing the Israelites to quickly pass. The army, however, was swallowed as the waters returned to their original state (Read Exodus 14).
Scientists have tried but can not explain how this could occur. But, if miracles could be explained by natural law, they wouldn't be miracles. Right? And, we would not be able to find awe in the power of our almighty God.

 INTERNS WANTED:
Short term summer missions are available to those wanting to intern with Christian Skaters this summer. Interns will help in the Christian Skater's Office and get hands-on training at our local park, Ramp 48. Interns can also help with writing articles, video, etc. Interns will stay in Fort Lauderdale on a week long mission to change lives. Interested? Email info@ChristianSkaters.com

NEW WEBSITE: We want your comments

 Anyone in ministry knows that you must really rely on the Lord's provision.
Co-founders of Christin Skaters, Uli and Toni, support their three kids (and many others that stop in each week) and keep Christian Skater's going almost solely on Uli's salary at the skatepark. Even when it does not make sense on paper, each month the bills are paid and the Lord continues to bless this family in ways that never cease to amaze them.
By the grace of God, they were chosen to take part in a home makeover show on TLC. Not knowing what to expect and never seeing the show, they jumped into this unexpected adventure.
Uli and Toni ask that you join them in prayer for this show! We pray that is is a tool used to glorify the Lord and that the testimonies shared do not end up on the cutting room floor. They also ask that you pray for the crew and that seeds planted with each of these amazingly loving people continue to grow in their lives. Finally, they praise the Lord for once again providing above and beyond anything they could of ever expected.

LEARN: How is a Skateboard Made?
|
 OK. So, I'll admit it. I am a bit of a science geek. I grew up with skaters. I went to school for Ocean Engineering, then opened a skate shop. Strange, I know. But, God had a plan through it all. We are now able to build parks around the world and are able to share Christ's love with the globe through skateboarding. Go figure :)
This summer I have been blessed to teach the campers at Ramp 48+ the Create-A-Skate course. As part of the course, we made our very own miniture skateboard. It was pretty cool. I might of enjoyed it even more than our campers.
