 WHAT IS CHRISTIAN SKATERS?
Christian
Skaters was formed in 2005 as the Lord led us to meet a need to equip
the many who are called to share the gospel with skaters around the
world. Our mission is to seek, support, equip, encourage, pray for and promote
skate ministries around the world. Ephesians 4:16 encourages us to work
together as a body. The Lord gave Christian Skaters a vision of
creating a body of skate ministries better equipped to fulfill the

BIBLE BASICS: Friendship
|
 Is there any link between our friendships and our realationship with God? When Jesus answered the question, "Which is the most important commandment?" he simply replied, "Love God. Love others." (Mark 12:28-31). God knew that we needed friends.
Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." God uses friendships to shape us, encourage us, challenge us, and to comfort us.
Want more? Read 1 John 4:9-12, Proverbs 17:17, John 15:13, and Proverbs 29:7. These are only a few of many scriptures on friendship. Are you a good friend? Consider this week how you shape, encourage, challenge & comfort others. Pray that the Lord shines through your friendship with others.

INSURANCE: Skate Park Association
|
When most of you first get a vision of starting a skatepark or skate ministry, you may worry about rates for insurance. But thanks to SPAUSA, rates for parks are VERY reasonable. Private parks average $2,500 a year with non-profit rates as low as $1,000. Their new program allows team riders to be insured for as little as $25 a skaters. AMAZING!
"When I first started
SPAUSA rates for skateparks were averaging $40,000 a year and some were getting
quotes as high as $125,000 per year!!!
There is strength to an association and one of the main benefits is risk
management," says SPA executive director, Heidi Lemmon.

will hold fundraisers, contests, demo's, skate across
cities, gather in skateparks, stream into their local skate shop and
some will even revel in the solitary act of skateboarding alone, all
bringing together the skateboarding community in the grind heard around

NEWS: Doogood Conservatory Opens 1st Skate Program in Brazil
|
Doogood Conservatory was started by skater Ari Evan Gold. His mission is to provide skateboards for kids who would normally not be able to buy their own through skateparks around the world.
Ari has blessed our local park, Ramp 48+, with decks that allow us to host free skate lessons every Saturday. He is now making an impact around the globe and has partnered with us on projects like Jamaica & Cairo, and is now providing skateboards to kids in Brasil through Swell Skates.
Christian Skaters encourages you to check out the Doogood website and pray for Ari. If you own a skate or clothing company, consider donating product to his mission.
