Report on First UK Skate Ministry Conference

After much travel, many arrived at the Factory Skate Park in Dundee on Thursday night, 8th November to attend the first UK Skate Ministry Conference in Scotland.

"The weekend just blew our minds, as we had 46 leaders, not just from the UK and Ireland, but from further a field with representatives from US, Spain, Norway and Sweden. We also met quite a number from the UK and Ireland who we had not previously met.

The feedback we received was very positive, and the most important thing about the event was, apart from sharing fellowship, networking and feeling there was a real family atmosphere, we also took a decision taken to form Christian Skaters UK.

This is a dauntingly huge task and we are now entering a period of action over the next few months to really begin to make sure that firstly the new Organization is built on firm foundations and secondly it is built for growth with God very much at the head.

I believe this weekend marked a new chapter as a new mission begins to take shape over the next few months.", said Phil Williams of Christian Surfers UK

Directors from the Livin It Alliance, Splinter Skateparks, American Ramp Company, and the Jamaica Skatepark Project joined Uli from Christian Skaters at the event. The Lord has formed an amazing partnership through them all. We are blessed to have been a part of this amazing conference hosted by Phil from Christian Surfers UK and The Factory Skate Park. Our Nashville Chapter kicked off October 31st with a bang. We are blessed to have the Renders on board and overseeing the Nashville area.

What "Commissioned" means...
Jesus commanded his disciples, which includes you and me, to go into all nation's, including the United States, and spread His word. (Mark 16:15) Some people think of missionaries as those who travel abroad, but we believe that the mission field is to also include our home town, our place of work, and our family and friend relationships. This missionary philosophy is our Great Commission. We are Commissioned by God to tell the world about Him. "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" (Matthew 28:18-20)

Skate Ministry is growing around the globe. As the Lord continues to expand our territory, we are looking for a few good soldiers of Christ to fight the good fight!

Area Coordinators are needed for South and Central America, Australia, Africa, & Europe.

Revelation skatepark is an outdoor skatepark located in Long Valley, NJ. the park is located in the rear parking lot of valley view chapel. The first ramps and boxes were created for the skatepark by one of valley view chapel's senior high students as his project for becoming an eagle scout.

We are excited to have Revelation Skaters as our newest chapter and ask that you pray for the leaders of this ministry.
