At Macs Adventure the summer seems to have passed in a flash of walking, biking, cycling and climbing. I have just returned from a wonderful summer camping holiday to the Outer Hebrides and my thoughts have turned to the autumn, winter and year ahead.
Autumn is a lovely time for walking and we have a range of walking holidays and short breaks to help you squeeze the most from this wonderful time of year.

Autumn is my favourite time for walking, the quiet crunch of leaves underfoot, the dazzling colours and the thought of sitting by a roaring fire at the end of the day. Why not make the most of the Autumn and escape for a relaxing walking holiday? The Highland Perthshire Trail passes through natural Perthshire woodland which is at it's very best in October and November if you fancy a week away. For a short break Hadrian's Wall can't be bettered and the colours in the autumn are a photographer's dream. Alternatively if the recent wet weather has left you desperate for a last dose of sunshine why not walk in Tuscany or wander in Andalucia. |

Kilimanjaro has been in the news this year, but you will be gald to hear that it is not completely overrun with celebrities.We have been planning to add Kilimanjaro to our programme for some years as it really is a classic climb. Neil, who many of you will know, is leading a small group climb of Kilimanjaro in January 2010 to put the final touches to our Kilimanjaro programme. The trip dates are 24 January 2010 to 1 February 2010 in Tanzania. As this is a research trip we are offering a £200 per person discount on this once in a lifetime experience.
