Today's Mid-City Green Market FREE Wine Tasting
Roshambo Winery out of Sonoma is just a great confluence of a free thinking attitude, responsible winemaking and fantastic wines.
Joining us TODAY from 4:30 to 6:30 is George Brown of Vino Wines to try, for FREE, the wines of Roshambo.
Open today will be: 2006 The Obvious Sauvignon Blanc, $14.99 - A wine you can drink by the gallon once that monster we know as the New Orleans Summer approaches.
2005 "Imago" Chardonnay, $17.99 - Lively, clean, pure Chardonnay from Sonoma that tastes like Chardonnay but without all the crap you have to put up with in most Cali Chardonnay.
2005 "Justice" Syrah, $17.99 - This is one seriously good bottle of wine. Strong dark fruit flavors, full of that white pepper and savory bacon fat you're supposed to smell in top flight Syrah.
2005 "Reverend" Zinfandel $19.99 - The one you all love so far, this is the essence of dark, dense, jammy Zinfandel. |

Vino on the Bayou is Back!
Our New Orleans Summer Wine tasting series continues.
Next week, Friday May 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 we begin our fourth summer of sipping wine while watching the sun set on Bayou St. John. For the past three summers Cork & Bottle Fine Wines has teamed up with The Pitot House and the Louisiana Landmarks Society to taste some good wines and support a great cause: preservation of one of our city's most significant buildings.
Fine wines, a fantastic setting, a way to relax after the week is done. . . what else do you need? We'd love to see you out here!
The Pitot House is located at 1440 Moss Street, admission is $10 at the door and all proceeds go to benefit the Pitot House.
