We are seeking volunteers who are interested in joining one or more of our committees for 2012.

Being active on an association committee will enable you to stay informed on key issues critical to our everyday business, and is a great way to gain exposure and insight into our dynamic industry. MBA/MW cannot survive without active volunteers. Anyone currently working for a MBA/MW member company is eligible to participate.

Annual Meeting & Holiday Luncheon -- A Great Way to End the Year
MBA's Meghan Sullivan

More than 120 residential and commercial real estate finance industry professionals turned out for MBA/MW's Annual Meeting & Holiday Luncheon on December 9, 2011 at the historic Mayflower Hotel.

The event featured a legislative briefing by MBA's Director of State Government Affairs Meghan Sullivan. Meghan updated us on the pressing issues facing the industry and stressed the importance of joining MBA's Mortgage Action Alliance. If you haven't signed up for this free nationwide grassroots lobbying network of real estate finance industry professionals, please join your colleagues in this effort by clicking here. The Mortgage Action Alliance is dedicated to strengthening the industry's voice and lobbying power in Washington, DC, and state capitals across America.

included the election of MBA/MW's 2012 Board of Governors. Congratulations to Frank P. Donnelly, CMB, Vice President, SunTrust Mortgage Inc., who was elected as the association's 2012 President. Special thanks to Carl Olzawski, Principal, Chain Bridge Capital Partners for his dedication and hard work as this year's President. Carl will continue to serve on the Board of Governors next year as the Chairman of the Board.

Both Carl and Frank thanked members for their continued commitment and support this year.

Congratulations to Victoria Stratman -- Lucky Winner of an iPad!

New MBA/MW member Victoria Stratman from Fulton Mortgage Company won the iPad drawing from MBA/MW's Member-Get-A-Member Campaign. Victoria's name was selected during the membership campaign drawing held at at the December 9 Annual Meeting & Holiday Luncheon at the Mayflower Hotel. The 2011 new member sponsors and key contact from the 2011 new member companies were included in the drawing.
