Weekend Reports
Week 7 - Intramurals

Boys U6
The Rough Riders and team two played a very close game. Though the kids were tired from playing 5vs5 they gave their best. The final score was tied 3-3, With Gavin Wisotsky scoring the 1st two and Dean Muratore scoring the 3rd that tied the game.  Evan Waldman and Gavin Wisotsky played great goal tending keeping the score low. Jayden Debenedittis again led the defense, breaking up plays that would have otherwise been goals. Max Futter played a mid-field position, and repeatedly pushed the ball up. Nathan Glick, who almost scored his 1st goal of the season played a very aggressive game. Brendan Ridge and Justin Roberts played an aggressive keeping the ball on the opposing side.

Week 7 - Travel

DH United BU8
Dix Hills United is a boys U8 team playing in the JSS Major Platinum division against the top teams from Long Island, Brooklyn and NYC.  This division is the highest level of competition that JSS offers in their nine divisions at this age group.  After a 2-1 victory over Brooklyn-Italians last weekend and a 4-1 win over Manhasset today we are currently in second place and have a five game unbeaten streak.  We have three weeks and two tournaments to go until the end of our spring season and look to continue to make Dix Hills proud.

DH Dynamite BU7
DHSC Dynamite (BU7) defeated Northport Chelsea (BU8) in a divisional travel game by a score of 4-2. Tyler Glassberg had 2 goals followed by 1 goal from Sammy Zaret and 1 goal by Spencer Hirsch.

DH Elite BU14

The Dix Hills Elite (BU14) won 5-1 in the State Cup Quarterfinals over Yonkers United. This advances them to the semifinals to be played against New York SC 97/98 this coming Saturday 3:50pm at the High School West Turf field

DH Hornet GU16

The Dix Hills Hornets (GU16) beat Shrub Oak Fire in their State Cup Quarterfinal game to advance to the semifinals where they will play Alleycats Lynx this coming weekend.

DH Gold GU11

The Dix Hills Gold U-11 Girls defeated the South Huntington Falcons this past Saturday 3-2.  The Gold gave up two quick goals early in the game, but did not let that get to them. The girls fought back and had a strong finish in the first half and went into halftime down only 2-1.  They shut the Falcons down in the second and scored two goals with the winning goal coming with about one minute to go in the game.  We are all proud of how well they played.

DH Blast GU15

The DH Blast earned a hard fought 2-2 tie this past Sunday. Marisa Gottlieb scored the 1st goal and assisted Camille Coello with the 2nd.

DH Destroyers GU9

Destroyers advanced to the fourth round of the LI Cup defeating the North Shore Gems 3-2. Destroyers scored the winning goal with 10 seconds left in regulation. Destroyers lost 2-0 to the ISA Slammers in their Long Island Junior game on Saturday.

Father's Day Tournament
If any coaches are interested in forming a team for the 9th Annual Father's Day Tournament please talk to parents and your commissioner. To register a team please CLICK HERE.

Summer Training
As the sumer approaches many kids will go off to camp and will just play recreational soccer with little to know skill development. There are many training programs available on Long Island that run programs at night, weekends and the last 2 weeks of the summer typically when camps are over. Please research some of these and suggest them to your players.
