Greetings!

This past weekend marked the approximate half way point for this season. All of the intramural boys and girls had their team and individual and team pictures. The season is progressing nicely and the kids are getting better with every game. Enjoy the 2nd half the season.

The 9th Annual Father's Day tournament is around the corner. If you are interested in having your child play please contact your child's coach directly or send an email to news@dixhillssoccerclub.com.

Referees

The club WANTS REFEREES. If you would like your child to referee in our intramural program please send an email to dhscref@gmail.com. It's a great way for kids to make some money being around what they love, while having a great experience.

Respect the Fields

Parents & coaches please remember that a "no dogs and no smoking" policy exists at all fields Dix Hills Soccer Club plays on. Also, let's keep our fields clean by picking up ALL trash after EVERY game, even if you didn't drop it. Let's be proud of the fields we use.

Monthly Club Meetings

The Club meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm in the cafeteria at Chestnut Hill. During the season everyone is encourage to attend, listen, ask questions, voice concerns, etc. The next meeting will be May 1st at 7:00pm.

Weekend Reports
Week 6 - Intramurals

Boys U6
The Rough Riders and team 3 played an excellent game. Evan Waldman led the Rough Riders in goal by playing a perfect 1st half. Gavin Wisotsky led the team in goals scoring 4 and Dean Muratore added another. Max Futter was a play-maker assisting most of the goals. Both Max and Gavin split goal tending the 2nd half, again without letting in a single goal. Jayden DeBenedittis along with Nathan Glick continue to dominate defensee and midfield breaking up plays, preventing shots from being taken on net. Brendan Ridge & Justin Roberts continue making excellent progress every game.

Week 6 - Travel

DH Gold GU11

The Dix Hills Gold U-11 Girls defeated the South Huntington Falcons this past Saturday 3-2.  The Gold gave up two quick goals early in the game, but did not let that get to them. The girls fought back and had a strong finish in the first half and went into halftime down only 2-1.  They shut the Falcons down in the second and scored two goals with the winning goal coming with about one minute to go in the game.  We are all proud of how well they played.

DH Blast GU15

The DH Blast earned a hard fought 2-2 tie this past Sunday. Marisa Gottlieb scored the 1st goal and assisted Camille Coello with the 2nd.

Father's Day Tournament
If any coaches are interested in forming a team for the 9th Annual Father's Day Tournament please talk to parents and your commissioner. To register a team please CLICK HERE.

Summer Training
As the sumer approaches many kids will go off to camp and will just play recreational soccer with little to know skill development. There are many training programs available on Long Island that run programs at night, weekends and the last 2 weeks of the summer typically when camps are over. Please research some of these and suggest them to your players.
