The club WANTS REFEREES. If you would like your child to referee in our intramural program please send an email to dhscref@gmail.com. It's a great way for kids to make some money being around what they love, while having a great experience.

Respect the Fields

Weekend Reports
Week 1 - Intramurals

Target also reported that at that 10:00am the Peanut Booters and Lady Bugs also met at 5-Towns. He said, "it was an exciting matchup with 3 goals scored and the a win for the white" "Both teams played great with enthusiasm". The final score was 2-1, Peanut Booters.

Boys U4/U5
Though it was challenging getting the boys on the field this Sunday morning coached finally succeeded in getting enough to play the 10:00am game which was won 7-0 yellow.

At 11:00 the game started without any problems and was exciting. Both teams showed great sportsmanship. The white team took the lead and won 5-2.

Boys U6
The Rough Riders played the white team in a close action packed game. All the kids played their heart out and gave 100%. Gavin Wisotsky led the team in the right direction by scoring the 1st goal of the game with Dean Muratore following with 2 more. Max Futter showed strong offense and defense throughout the game. Jayden DeBeneditis was instrumental in breaking up the opposing teams offensive plays along with Nathan Glick and Brenden Ridge. Evan Waldman led the team in goal and played flawlessly.

"Both teams #2 and #3 played with enthusiasm and the attitude to win", said Targett. The final score was tied 2-2 at the end.

Week 2 - Travel

Villains BU14

The Villains controlled both games this weekend playing their possession and short passing game to secure two away wins, 3-1 over garden City and 3-0 over Port Washington. They advance to the next round of the Challenge Cup as well as starting out with a good lead in their division. A great all around performance by everyone. -- Coach Martin

DH Juventus BU15

The Juventus won their First Round of the State Challenge Cup against CJSL Division A team Eleftheria-Pancypria by a score of 3-2 to move on to the Second Round.  Juventus played a tremendous game in less than favorable weather conditions.  The entire 17 player roster for Juventus exhibited a "Refuse to Loss" mentality despite being down 1-0 in the first half.  This was a hard fought and well deserved win.  This was Dix Hills Juventus second game in less than 3 hours on Sunday.  They had already beating a power house of a team in East Meadow 3-1 earlier in the day.

DH Blast GU15

The first game of the spring season proved to be a success with a win over Ronkonkoma of 1-0. Michelle Carfagno scored the single off an assist by Marisa Gottlieb.

DH Dynamite GU11 JSS & LIJS
The Girls U11 Dynamite advanced in the LI Cup by beating their division 1 rivals Kings Park Kickers by a score of 6-1.  The Dynamite came out strong and took control of the game from the opening whistle.  A relentless attack by the mid field and forwards led to a 3 nil score at the half.  When the teams took to the pitch for the second half, the Dynamite continues their domination scoring 3 more goals while the defense held the line and kept Kings Park off balance.  Great game by all the girls as it was a true team effort and win.  The Girls U11 Dynamite are still alive in the LI Cup, State Cup and NY Cup and are undefeated in both LIJ and JSS league play.
