Weekend Reports
Week 1 - Intramurals
The 1st weekend of intramurals went off with some challenging weather. The boys and girls for U4 to U6 played their games to kick off the spring season. We are hoping to get reports from the intramural coaches or parents attending the games to be included to be included in future newsletters. Please email them to news@dixhillsoccerclub.com

Week 1 - Travel
The DHSC Travel program got off to an exciting start this season with many exciting games and plenty of victories.

Villains BU14 vs Terryville Storm

Our 1st league game proved to be an exciting and yet tense match as the Villains dominated possession but could not score for most of the game. Big Jack T. had three great headers in the box during the game but although close went wide 3 times, left of the post, right of the post and finally over the top only thanks to a finger tip save by the Terryville keeper. Harry S. had another great chance, a long range shot from the 30 that forced their keeper into a diving save. With time running out and the coaches pacing like maniacs, there was a goal mouth scramble, the ball fell at Spencers feet, he pushed the ball out of the 6 yard box to PJ hovering just past the penalty spot to use his finishing school skills and blast the ball home from about 15 yards. The Villains finished up with some excellent possession and a couple more chances but no more goals, to start the season with a well deserved 1-0 win. -- Coach Martin

Dynamite D1-GU11 vs  Sachem Xplosion

The girls kicked off their 1st game of the season with a 5-0 victory. The girls played hard and controlled the tempo of the game from the opening whistle. Great passing and team play by the girls led the Dynamite to a season home opener win. The girls take on their cross town rival HBC Mia this Saturday at Half Hollow Park.

March 17th the D1-U11 Dix Hills Crushers beat Smithtown and the GU9 DH Destroyers beat Busby Power 5-1 advancing them to the quarter finals of the NY Cup.

March 18th also proved to be a successful day with the BU13 DH Infernos beating the VOB Hawks 1-0 in the 1st game of the LI Cup. The BU15 DH Juventus also won their 1st game of the LI Cup 3-1. Coach Avallone stated, "the team played a relentless attacking game putting pressure on their opponent throughout the game." Matt Avallone scored 2 goals and Christian Pineda scored the 3rd. The defense was led by Connor Linden, Matt Goodman, Bryan Bagdziunas & Reggie Damour.
