May is Foster Care Awareness Month
There are almost half a million children in the foster care system in the United States. Each year, on January second, there is a count taken in Oklahoma. We have a growing crisis in our state with 8308 children in foster care in Oklahoma this year (2012), as compared to 8046 last year (2011). Ever wonder how many kids in foster care live in your county?
