Hollywood's Cars

Hollywood cars are things of dreams - whether they travel through time, talk, or just "go really fast," people have been drooling over the cars in films and television for years. So with the start of summer movie season already here, we thought it would be interesting to take a look at some of the top Hollywood cars of the last few decades.

1960s - Herbie, the "incredible little car who shifts for himself," was a 1962 Volkswagen Beetle who helped The Love Bug earn over $51.2 million at the domestic box office in 1969.

1970s - Starsky's 1975 Ford Grand Torino stole the show in Starsky and Hutch's four season series - even though the tomato red racer maybe wasn't the best choice for an undercover cop car.

1980s - With side doors that swing up and a flux capacitor installed, it was the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 that took Marty McFly back to 1955 in Back to the Future.

1990s - Starring Robert Di Nero and Jean Reno, Ronin is known for featuring an Audi S8, BMW M5 and Mercedes Benz 6.9 in an epic car chase through Nice and Paris, France.

2000s - Disney and Pixar won over audiences of all ages in 2006 with Cars, featuring the animated race car Lightning McQueen, the tow-truck Mater, the 996-series Porsche 99, and many more.

This Summer - The final installment of Christian Nolan's Batman trilogy - The Dark Knight Rises - comes to theaters July 20, and everyone is wondering what new gadgets and gizmos the Batmobile (and motorcycle!) will have this time around.

Is Your Car Ready

For Summer?

Imagine: You walk out to your car on a stifling summer's day, unlock the door and step into a sauna. Beads of sweat start dripping down your face and neck. You roll down your window to let some air circulate, but nothing but hot, stagnant air comes blowing in. Worst of all: your legs keep sticking to your car's leather seats.

Don't let this happen to you this summer! Seiberts' Pump and Church service station is running a summer special that includes air conditioning maintenance (with freon charge), as well as fluids, brakes and tires checks for just $79.99.

Stop by our Pump and Church service station today to see what we can do to help keep you comfortable and safe this summer.
