Lots Happening on Pigeon Key |
Pigeon Key Pirate Day, on November 5,is a free day of pillage, plunder and piratical fun with mock battles, food and drinks, piratical role play, prizes and lots of activities for the kids. Free admission, but donations are greatly appreciated. Board the ferry at the Pigeon Key Gift Shop located on Knights Key or walk to the island on the Old Seven Mile Bridge.
Top off your Thanksgiving weekend with Pigeon Key's Flagler Centennial Celebration Fishing Tournament. This new reef fishing tournament takes place Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26. There is a $150 per angler entrance fee with cash prizes for first, second and third place. Your entrance fee covers two days of free admission to Historic Pigeon Key, where there will be activities all weekend long, including the tournament weigh-in and after party.

The Dolphin Research Center and Crane Point Museum and Nature Center honor military personnel, veterans and military families with free admission on Veteran's Day, November 11.
It is also the second DRC Teacher Appreciation Day with free admission for Florida Keys teachers and a guest.

Many of our restaurants welcome you to join them for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, Keys style. Reservations are recommended. Butterfly Cafe at Tranquility Bay Resort as well as the Sunset Grille and Raw Bar will offer lavish buffets with turkey, ham and all the time-honored fixings along with local seafood specialties and delectable desserts. At the Island Fish Company, parties of two or more can have their own whole turkey along with all the usual side dishes, just like home. They'll even wrap up the leftovers for you. At Lazy Days South and Porky's Bayside Restaurant, you have your choice of their special Thanksgiving menu with turkey, ham and more seasonal dishes or their standard menu.
