On February 23rd, hundreds of NYC voters in Quinn's district are expected to participate in a rally and press conference at a public hearing to express their dismay about major development in Greenwich Village - development which will undoubtedly be supported by Quinn, given her track record of repaying her estate donors at the expense of local communities in NYC.
This event is a great opportunity to reach politically active voters and the press with our messages about why Quinn should be voted out of public office.
Please let me know if you can make it: email
We will send a confirmation a couple days before.
When: Thursday, Feb 23rd, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Where: 151-155 Sullivan Street (below Houston) at St. Anthony of Padua Church
As an aside, the press is finally reporting on our campaign against Quinn. In this article, the reporter writes, "As Council Speaker Christine Quinn prepares to run for mayor, the body's first openly gay speaker retains strong support in the LGBT community - but is despised by a vocal minority who believe her politics have been far too moderateon issues from paid sick leave to the living wage bill. That dissatisfaction has been most visibly demonstrated by a group led by animal rights activist Donny Moss, who seems to protest nearly every Quinn event."
