What's new in 2012 for Rinnai Water Heaters?
& CONSUMER REBATES for Ultra & Luxury models sold & installed May 1, 2012 - July 31, 2012
|
Here is a summary of the new features of the new Ultra and Luxury products, all delivered without a price increase: - Rinnai Circ-Logic™: a recirculation control program that cycles an external pump at pre-set temperature and time intervals to maximize efficiency and comfort (NOTE: All new RU98/80 units will ship with Circ-Logic, but RL94i/e units will not ship with Circ-Logic until mid-April, and RL75i/e will be June.) Circ-Logic™ is built into the PC board and is connected directly to an external pump for ease of installation and recirculation control
- Temperature Lock: locks in set temperature for enhanced safety
- Leak Detection (indoor units only)
- Enhanced lime scale prevention
- Improved and easier diagnostics
- Ultra Low NOx (except the RL94i)
As part of the innovation in our new products, the gas supply can be shut off using the dip switch panel. This made it unnecessary for us to include a gas valve with the new units. CLICK HERE for NEW Rinnai Literature for 2012 The new V75 and V65 Value series units also include temperature lock, leak detection, improved lime scale prevention, and are also ultra-low NOx certified. They are different from previous Value units in that they will include the MC-91 digital controller. To make the Value series more price-competitive and allow customers to use their own valves, the units do not come with isolation valve kits. The V75 and V65 will also not include a gas valve, but the V53e will continue to include the gas valve Other new products available in April of this year: - Scale Control System: prevents scale buildup using a special chemical blend that bonds with minerals and renders them incapable of sticking to piping (* see product literature link below)
- Condensate Neutralizer: raises pH of condensate from condensing appliances
- New Recess Boxes: to fit the new water heaters, we have the RGB-25U-C that accepts both old and new Luxury series units, and the RGB-CTWH-2 that fits only the new RU98/80 Ultra series units.
CONSUMER REBATES: Ultra & Luxury models May 1 through July 31, 2012. Have you ever made a purchasing decision based on an attractive CASH REBATE? I'm sure you have; because millions of consumers do every year. Now is YOUR OPPORTUNITY to Inform and EDUCATE your Customers about the RINNAI rebate for any consumer who purchases and has a qualifying Rinnai Ultra or Luxury Series tankless water heater installed between May 1 and July 31, 2012. The rebate amounts are $125 for Ultra and $75 for Luxury series models. Click here for a copy of the Rebate form to share with your customers. AND, depending on your customer's customers location; they might qualify for additional rebates! Visit the http://www.rinnai.us/offers-rebates website and for additional rebates provided by PERC state funds or local utility companies. These rebates depend on funding source and location. SCALE CONTROL SYSTEM Rinnai's new Scale Control System helps to ensure the performance and efficiency of Rinnai tankless water heaters that are used in areas with a high concentration of mineral content in their water supply, a situation commonly known as "hard water." Most water-fed appliances, including tankless water heaters, will accumulate mineral scale deposits when used with hard water over time. Without frequent maintenance, this build-up can affect tankless units by reducing their efficiency. In addition, ongoing use with hard water may shorten the lifespan of a tankless unit. To safeguard a tankless water heater from lime scale build-up and corrosion, Rinnai's Scale Control System may be installed on a home's cold water line in front of or upstream of a tankless unit. The system prevents mineral deposits by dissolving a special blend of compounds into the water stream, delivering consistent scale control without the use of electricity. While most homes will need to replace the system's cartridge every 10 to 12 months, the exact replacement schedule is dependent on cartridge size and water usage. Homeowners will be able to easily recognize when replacement is necessary thanks to the cartridge's translucent design and can purchase new cartridges from their local installer. Since a significant number of homes in the United States are located in areas with known hard water quality, it is likely that mineral build-up is a potential problem for many current and future Rinnai customers. Although traditional water softeners will offer comparable results, Rinnai believes that our Scale Control System is the best option for Rinnai users because it costs less, takes up less space, and requires less maintenance than other similar products. BENEFITS OF RINNAI SCALE CONTROL SYSTEM - Keeps scale-causing minerals in solution inhibiting lime scale formation
- Changes the shape of the precipitated lime scale, preventing accumulation
- Coats wetted surfaces with a micro-thin layer that acts as a corrosion buffer
- Helps soften and remove existing lime scale over time
In many cases, the Rinnai system offers many of the same advantages as conventional water softening systems, except at a lower cost with little maintenance. CLICK HERE for Scale Control Literature |

The 7501 and 7502 1-1/4" M-NPT Filler Valves incorporate a Manual Shutoff General Information RegO Manual Double-Back Check filler valves that incorporate a resilient upper check, a lower check and a manual shutoff feature. When filling a container from a delivery truck, this valve will allow flow into the container through the upper and lower check, when the manual lever is in the open position. When flow stops both the upper and lower checks will close; the lever is then turned to the closed position, the hose-end valve can be removed from the filler valve. Application: Designed for fast filling of larger DOT cylinders, and ASME domestic containers; the 7501 and 7502 feature a manual shutoff in addition to the upper and lower back checks. Features:
- Double back check provides added system protection
- Both checks are spring activated for quick precise closure when flow into the valve stops.
- Manual shutoff valve is designed to provide additional system protection when disconnecting the hose end valve from the filler valve.
- The hose end valve cannot be removed from the 7501 or 7502 if the lever is in the open position.
- When manual shutoff valve is closed, an integral back check prevents liquid from being trapped between the shutoff and the upper check.
