It's that time of year again; At the end of October, Daylight Savings Time Goes Away & You'll need to Reset your Computers and LC LCR Meters.

HOW TO Set/Reset The Time on an LCR2 Register
(This is helpful during springing forward and falling back for Daylight Savings Time)
First, we must ask the following questions to help you better assess what equipment application you have.
1- Do you have an LCR2 register head? 2- Does it operate in "Pump and Print" mode? (LCR2 only, no other
accessories) 3- Do you have a lap-pad? 4- Do you use our EZCOUNT handheld unit? 5- Do you use our DMS system? 6- If you use DMS, do you also have a GPS unit with it?
Once you know what you have, proceed to the corresponding section below.
LCR2 - PUMP & PRINT
1- Turn the red selector knob to Print. 2- Press the Select arrow 4 times. do you see the current time on-screen? If you do, proceed to step 3. If not, you should see a screen that says "P00000". Press the Select arrow to move the cursor past all the numbers, at which point you will see the time. 3- Enter the current time (remember that LCR2 uses 24-hour time), by using the Select and Increase buttons. 4- After the time is entered, you can either use the Select arrow to move all the way to the end of the time and back to the first screen, or simply turn the selector back to Stop. 5- You are done.
LCR2 - WITH LAP-PAD
1- Make sure the lap-pad is properly connected and on. 2- Using the lap-pad, arrow over to Security and press Enter. 3- Check to see if the "Security" field is set to "Unlocked". If it is not, arrow over to "Security", press Enter to go to the bottom line, and use the arrow keys to change "Locked" to "Unlocked". Press Enter to go back to the top line. 4- Press the M1 button. 5- Arrow over to General Settings. 6- Arrow over to "Time", and press Enter to drop to the bottom line. 7- Key in the appropriate time in HHMMSS format. Remember that the LCR2 uses 24-hour time. Press Enter to go back to the top line. 8- Press the M1 button. 9- You are done.
LCR2 WITH EZCOUNT HANDHELD
Contact your outside sales rep or the Dallas branch at 800-821-1829 for more help setting the time on our EZCOUNT handheld.
LCR2 WITH DMS
1- On any screen on the DMS lap-pad, press the ALT and ESC buttons at the same time. 2- This screen will say "DMS Application List" at the top. From here, press the F1 key (Util). 3- Arrow down to the "DMS Time" setting and press Enter. You must enter the time in the format of HH.MM.SS, and you must use periods to separate the hours from the minutes from the seconds. Remember that the LCR2 uses 24-hour time. Press Enter when done. 4- Press the F5 button (Exit). 5- At the "DMS Application List", arrow to "EZCOUNT" and press Enter. 6- You are done.
LCR2 WITH DMS & GPS
1- Go to the office computer you use to load and unload DMS sticks. 2- Click on EZ-ENTER button. 3- Click on "TruckDefs" tab to the left. 4- Scroll over to the "GMT Offset" field. 5- Change the "GMT Offset" field by adding +1 hour to the current negative number (see below for appropriate times). 6- Click Save, then exit. 7- You are done.
NOTES: EST is -5 GMT in the fall, and -4 GMT in spring. CST is -6 GMT in the fall, and -5 GMT in spring. MST is -7 GMT in the fall, and -6 GMT in spring.
