2011 Employment Expo

Well folks, only a week to go before we get to spend a truly memorable day together at the Victoria Inn!

MAY 12, TOMORROW, IS THE LAST DAY to register for our Best Practices Breakfast!

You don't want to miss it! Randy Lewis's story about Walgreens, his challenge to other companies, and the implications for how we provide education, career and placement services for people with disabilities is going to be the subject of many conversations here in the coming years. You've probably seen the videos that are linked from our site, but if those haven't convinced you that you need to join us next Thursday... watch this interview with Randy on YouTube.

Also added to the program for the Breakfast: The official Manitoba Premiere of "A Hire Awareness" the newly-released video from NDEAM Canada.

MAY 12, TOMORROW, IS THE LAST DAY to register for Exhibit Space at the EXPO.

Almost 40 Exhibitors have already confirmed their exhibit space and are getting set for a fun and celebratory day at the Expo - greeting Job Seekers and Employers alike as they showcase their unique roles in increasing employment opportunities for Manitobans with disabilities. Tomorrow is the last chance to reserve exhibit space!

Newly Added Expo Features:

  • Movie Room: Once in the morning and once in the afternoon, we will be showing a selection of short videos on the topic of disability and employment. Details will be forthcoming.
  • Caf: We are setting up our own little caf right inside the Exhibit Hall. It will feature sandwiches, whole fruits and hot and cold beverages. A great place to take a break, network with old and new acquaintances, or to grab a snack!
