DAVENPORT MCLA DII NATIONAL CHAMPS

 

With Assistant Coach Ryan Covert,  the True Lacrosse Michigan Director, Davenport University beat two time winning national champion St. Thomas to win the MCLA National Championship in a shocking victory Saturday, May 21st. 

Davenport University won the 2011 MCLA Division II National Championship in Commerce City Colorado. The Panthers knocked out Utah Valley State, Briarcliffe, Grand Valley State, and St. Thomas. Davenport scored a combination of 46 goals in the first two games and Shawn Beer tied the tournament record for points in the first round game against Utah Valley State.

In the first round of the tournament Davenport beat last year's runner-up Utah Valley State 23-9. The game leaders were, Attack Shawn Beer who led the team with 12 points and 8 goals and Jordan Richtsmeier had 5 assists.

MICHIGAN HEAD COACH & MARQUETTE HEAD COACH COME TO TRUE
Coach AmploHead Coach of the Men's Lacrosse Team at the University of Michigan, Coach John Paul,  and Marquette University, Coach Amplo, will be doing a special 2-day clinic for our Travel Team Players.

These clinics are open only to current high school True Lacrosse Travel Team players. Players from out of state will have the option to stay with an Illinois Travel Team Host Family.

SUMMER LEAGUES
True Lacrosse will be offering summer lacrosse leagues in Grand Rapids, Lansing and Ann Arbor.

Divisions include:
Youth (rising 6, 7 or 8th graders)
JV (rising freshman and sophomores)
Varsity (rising juniors and seniors)
Elite (travel team players, college players and men)

League will include 8 sessions.

ALL PRO SUMMER CAMP
Summer camp registration in now available! Don't miss this summer's All-Pro Camp at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan July 11-14th. All the Coaches are professional lacrosse players, former DI players and current DI players. Overnight and day camper options are available.
