Abraham Lincoln in his March 30, 1863 proclamation appointing a National Day of Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer wrote:
"We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven.
We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity.
We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown.
But we have forgotten God."
So now we need to ask ourselves some very serious questions:
Have you (no, not someone else) . . . Have YOU forgotten God?
Does your life show it?
Have you forgotten God at work?
Do your co-workers even know that you have a personal relationship with God?
Have you forgotten God at home?
Would your children say that you have?
Have you forgotten God?
Does He think that you have?
Maybe it's time for you to go spend some time with God today.
