New 5 Part Series Begins Today
Patriots & Heroes: The American Journey toward Freedom

This week we will take a close look at some of America's greatest heroes. While these founding fathers may not be well-known in modern times, their role in the journey toward freedom was paramount toward gaining independence. Their personal stories of tenacity, strength, and faith will inspire your patriotism and draw you toward prayer.

56 Heroes!

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?

Nine of the signers fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War. Twelve signers had their homes ransacked and burned. Five signers were captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died. Two signers had their sons killed while serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

The signers mutually pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. They were willing to sign their name to the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if captured.

What price are you willing to pay for freedom?

Today's Prayer

"Lord, during these days, we need a Nehemiah who will rebuild the walls. We need someone who will not come down, or be discouraged from this great work. Although critics and cynics will come out of the rubble to seek to stop this work, it is of you. Your desire is that we be a righteous nation, a godly nation and that we return to our Judeo-Christian roots. We ask that you raise up someone to take a stand. Someone who can weep over the conditions of our land. Someone who will believe you for a revival in the rubble. Someone who will have the tenacity to call people to something higher than themselves. We ask you Father to revive our land. We come before you asking for you to, at the same time, raise up people who have a mind to work, serve, invest and support this call.

We believe you are not through with us yet. We believe there is still hope for the land. We beseech you to send one, maybe today, if not today, maybe tomorrow, who will be an instrument of revival in our land."
