Q. What is the best time to fish on the party boat?
A. The best time to fish the party boat is whenever you can. We offer 3 trips daily at 9:30 am, 2:00 pm, and again at 7:00 pm for night fishing we are lucky to be located so close to the reef that all 3 trips produce quality fish. We also offer a discount if you do 2 trips the same day.
Q. What kind of fishing should I expect in the Spring?
A. With Spring and warmer water just around the corner we should start seeing catches of dolphin, tuna, and snapper increasing. Also, the migration of tarpon will be starting and the silver king is an awesome fish to catch!
Q. What is the Jr. Angler's Club?
A. Robbie's started a Jr. Angler's Club 12 months ago and it has become very popular. Children 12 and under pay a 1 time annual membership fee of $25.00 and get to fish for free every Sunday for a year on the Capt. Michael with an accompanied paid adult.

Congratulations to Captain Brian Cone

Captain Brian Cone with the help of mate Shannon Attales on the Contagious out of Robbies of Islamorada is this years winner of the prestigious Islamorada Sailfish Tournament, successfully releasing 7 sailfish easily outdistancing the competition.
Captain Brian was raised in the Keys exploring the ocean since he was just a little tyke. After graduating from college, Brian couldn't wait to get back to the Florida Keys and his real love - fishing! As a kid, he got to know many of the local captains who knew how to go that extra mile and come back with record-book catches. Cone learned well from them.
Now, still in his mid 30s, he's the one that fishermen young and old love to listen to! His early times spent on the ocean gave him a special understanding and love of the water and turned a passion into a very rewarding career.
Cone has been featured on ESPN and in many fishing publications, including Saltwater Sportsman, Center Console, and Men's Journal. once again, Cone's name has been found at the top of the leader board
Book a trip with Brian on the Contagious! You are sure to have a great day on the water. Call the booking office at 305-664-8070

Deep Sea Fishing
Located in the heart of Islamorada, aptly named the "sports fishing capital of the world", anglers return year after year to fish both the Atlantic Ocean and Florida Bay. Many have been returning to us here at Robbie's for over thirty years.
For the ultimate Atlantic fishing experience, schedule a trip on the Islamorada Lady II. She's our 47' Hatteras and comes with an exceptional Captain and a mate that will make your day one not soon forgotten. The Islamorada lady II has an enclosed air conditioned cabin, comfortable lounge seating, and a walk-in head. All of your equipment and tackle, as well as live bait are provided.
What will you catch? The winter months provide sailfish, wahoo, big cobia, king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, and mutton snappers. In the spring and summer months, we catch dolphin. Not to be confused with "Flipper" these fish, often called Mahi-mahi or dorado, are acrobatic fish that put on quite a show and a good fight. Dolphin ranging from 20 to 40 lbs are common catches on our boat. The strong prevailing East winds of the Spring will push some of the largest dolphin of the year into our waters from the Bahamas. The price for a full 8 hours off shore is $1050 but we also can arrange split charters for as little as $188 per person. |
"Gourmet joint under a bridge" is how we have been described by the Miami Herald. What was once a fish shack diner now offers one of the best fine dining in the Florida Keys.
The Palm Beach Post has heralded us as "best places to eat in the Florida Keys." We must have won them over with our "gourmet food in a basket." Even Inflight magazine lists us as "places not to miss if you like good food.
On staff is our classically trained French chef with a Caribbean flair and more years experience than our young at heart chef would want us to mention. Chef Joseph Sassine thrives on thrilling guests with his award-winning creations.
Whether it be a beach breakfast, wedding reception, business party, or any affair you can conjure up, let the Hungry Tarpon take the stress away by catering for you in Islamorada, Key Largo, and the Florida Keys.

Rent-A-Boat
Want to go out fishing or maybe just drive in circles? Robbie's Boat Rentals in Islamorada is a perfect place to start your Florida Keys trip. Our location provides for quick access to a wide variety of popular Florida Keys attractions; some of the best fishing spots in both the Atlantic Ocean and Florida Bay are equally accessible from our docks, and nearby, narrow, win ding mangrove-lined channels offer tranquil settings for bird watching.
We are very close to two popular shallow water reefs, Alligator Lighthouse and Cheeca Rocks, where you can snorkel the Florida Keys or dive in depths between 6 and 100 feet, with coral heads rising to within 3 feet of the surface. Less than 1 mile from Robbie's and at snorkeling-friendly depth rests the Spanish Galleon, San Pedro; you can swim down and see its historic cannons, ballast stones and timbers. |

A relaxed atmosphere enhances your sh opping experience as you view local art, decorative accessories and wares, photographs, sculptures and clothing.
With something for everyone and a shopping experience like no other, come grab a drink and leisurely peruse our ever-changing unique offerings, and have a seat in one of our hammocks or swing chairs, and relax...as this is laid back Keys shopping at its finest.
The Fly-By Shop: set amid the lush tranquility of the breezy, tropical tree-lined property rests a slice reminiscent of the old straw and native markets from a bygone era in tropical locales around the equator. |
Feed the Tarpon
"Amazing! Awesome! Incredible! Awe-inspiring! WOW!" are just some of the words we often hear from first-time and repeat visitors alike at the end of our docks. What they're referring to, of course, is the resident schools of tarpon that come here daily and linger for hours waiting to be fed.
Occasionally, a tarpon actually rises up from the water in a powerful flash of silver and green to meet the bait as it leaves your hand. It's a sight to behold and it's what has made Robbie's a must-see world-famous destination, as well as Islamorada's #1 tourist stop! Perhaps the "Silver Kings" just come here to see the humans, but toss a baitfish among them and watch as the water churns as these spectacular fish and the resident pelicans vie for the snack, causing quite a spectacle.
